Texarkana College’s Honors College provides honor students with beneficial learning experiences.

Honors College is dedicated to maintaining the mission. The Texarkana College Honors College provides a unique opportunity for exceptional students to engage in a community of scholars focused on in-depth studies with an emphasis on leadership, service critical and innovative thinking, professional communications as well as a view of current events from global perspectives. Honors College students are taking a Learning Frameworks class, designated for honor students which teaches students helpful tools to use in college and life.
Honors College students do many group activities that create a teamwork learning environment. “I feel like I get to connect with other people,” Davis said.

There are many benefits in Honors College, such as priority registration, smaller class sizes, travel opportunities, speaker forums, film nights, and many other privileges. Honors College students receive consideration for Phi Kappa International if they qualify. “It’s very rewarding,” Sean Daniel a U.S. History major and honor student, said.
Honors College students frequently volunteer at events and participate in service projects.
Honors College have many things planned for this semester and next semester.
Honors College students are taking a trip to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, Texas, on Friday, November 20th. Honors College are also planning film nights and in the spring honor students will participate in a business etiquette
I expect a great deal from my time with Virginia Commonwealth University Honors College. I enjoy that I will have an adviser that truly cares about my wellbeing and education, and I believe this will help me succeed as I pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Biology. I hope to become close with the faculty and staff of the Honors College as I strive towards my ultimate goal of becoming a Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon. Although I plan to commute to and from VCU for classes rather than stay on campus, the Honors College dorms are an extreme luxury provided to those students that are qualified. I also am ecstatic about the special classes and curriculum that is available to Honors students. I am pursuing VCU in an attempt to further my education, and I believe the Honors College is my best opportunity to do so. I look forward to exploring all the Honors College has to offer, and I hope it will help me to become a better student, graduate, and person all around.
Besides, I am a student that does not only persistently works hard academically, but also I constantly try to improve my own community’s quality of life by doing volunteer work and it has always been a goal for me to return back to my community that helped me a lot during high school and even now in college. For me, the largest draw to joining the Engineering Honors Program is being able to work with and get to know my professors on a level that I wouldn't be able to in a larger classroom setting. In a large classroom setting, I don't see myself getting many opportunities to interact with my professors outside of office hours, which I still absolutely plan to take advantage of, but being in smaller classes would allow me, and the class as a whole, to have more time to ask our professors questions. On the subject of the other students, I believe that being in honors classes will give me the opportunity to interact with some of the smartest people in my graduating class, and I look forward to participating in that smaller and closer-knit group.
I have decided to apply to UNCW Honors College to excel in my studies and help me further my education. When I was in high school, I wished I was one of the top students in class. And when I saw the top students get awards in my senior graduation, I felt a surge of humiliating emotions – a feeling that I will never forget. I wanted to do it – I wanted to get that award, but I couldn’t. But now, since I can start fresh in college, taking honors college is going to help me get the highest distinction, the thing I couldn’t do when I was in high school. Following my passion will also lead me to stronger sense of the world and how I belong into it and why I am doing what I am. I will also basically have a deeper understanding of myself and the world by being in Honors college.
I am a journalism major with a focus in public relations and a minor in marketing therefore I believe the Honors college will enhance my academic experience at Georgia State by allowing me to develop my people skills as well as my personal professional development. The honors college programs do not only provide rigorous academic programs for strong individuals to constantly feel challenged but it also provides guidance to develop individual professionalism ,and I believe both would allow me to grow as a journalism major. Joining the Honors College will develop my authenticity, not in the sense that I will be a more honest person, but rather, that I will know more about myself and have better reasoning behind my beliefs. The challenging course load that Honors Students face requires a deeper level of reflection. Students must not only know the material, but have a solid foundation behind it. The Honors Panel taught me several benefits that I did not know the Honors program had to offer. In the first place, this panel helped me decide if the Honors program is something I would like to continue to do throughout college. For example, one of the things I learned is that some of the classes the Honors program offers also counts as a credit towards some majors.
