After a lackluster season where constant debates over players resting and who should win Most Valuable Player overshadowed the product on the court, the Playoffs are here. . The Playoffs are providing a breathe of fresh air as a number of top tier teams are playing efficient basketball. While other top tier teams face a deficit.
The following list will rank each playoff according to their entertainment value thus far. While the playoffs are unpredictable, one thing is certain, Cavaliers vs Warriors III couldn’t come soon enough.
1. Houston Rockets vs Oklahoma City Thunder
This series should help clear a picture on the debate of James Harden or Russell Westbrook for MVP and thus far it has. Harden has evolved

LeBron takes on one of his biggest rivals, Lance Stephenson Paul George. Game 1 was one C.J Miles jumper away from giving the Pacers the series lead. The Cavaliers’ Big Three dominated Game 2 combining for 89 points. In Game 3, the Cavaliers overcame the largest halftime deficit in NBA history, 25 points. James finished with 41 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. Anytime King James is on the court it’s a marvel to watch. In retrospect, the Pacers should be up 2-1. Instead, they face a 3-0 deficit. LeBron extended his winning streak to 20 consecutive first round games. In other words, Paul George will soon be riding into the sunset of Los Angeles.
Prediction: Cavaliers in Four
4 Los Angeles Clippers vs Utah Jazz
Joe Johnson’s buzzer beater in Game 1 led the Jazz to an upset victory. Chris Paul led the Clippers to a Game 2 victory with 21 points and 10 assist. Before Ruby Gobert’s knee injury the Jazz posed a threat to the Clippers; however, he is expected to miss Game 3 and is uncertain for the series. This series could have gone the distance and be ranked number one but without the “Stifle Tower” the Jazz don’t possess enough firepower.
Prediction: Clippers in Six
5 Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers
This series has been extremely entertaining, from one side. The Warriors are putting up clinics. Even without Kevin Durant in Game 2, the Warriors beat
Introduction: Since the departure of Kevin Durant leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC for short) to the 73-9 Golden State Warriors, Russell Westbrook now a lone star in Oklahoma has been taking the league by storm averaging a triple double this season with (31.4 pts, 10.6 reb, 10.3 ast). This feat haven’t happened in over 55 years since “The Big O” Oscar Robertson who played for the Cincinnati Royals averaging a triple double in the 1961-62 season with a staggering average of 30.8 points, 11.4 assists, and 12.5 rebounds. However, by acknowledging the fact that this output hasn’t happened in over 55 years, I believe that James Harden in the Houston Rockets will win the MVP race. As much as I like Russell Westbrook to win the 2017 MVP award,
Oklahoma City Thunder’s fearsome twosome Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook delivered the goods to give the host team Milwaukee Bucks its 12th loss at home this season with a 104-96 victory at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Sunday.
Russell Westbrook finished the game with an amazing triple-double production of 20 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists, making the two-time All-Star Game MVP the NBA’s leader in triple-double performance.
Everybody has been saying James Harden should get the MVP award because his team is winning and he is getting points and assists. However, although James Harden is a really good player, it still denies that fact that why Russell Westbrook should get the MVP award. Me personally, I think Russell Westbrook should get MVP. Also, there are a number of different reasons why he should be MVP. Firstly he is putting up monster stats.
Durant scored a team-high 28 points and an assist short for another double-double game performance. He also had seven rebounds and two blocked shot while Westbrook finished with 24 points, five assists, five boards and three steals.
The NBA Finals showcased Cleveland not just regionally, but across the world. It shed new light on a city that has been through some rough times in the
Stephen Curry’s return was nothing less than positive deviance as he heroically overcame trials. During the first round of the NBA Playoffs Curry had suffered from a sprained right Knee which disabled his game appearance for 3 weeks. Although his injury was unfortunate Curry spent vast amounts of time rehabbing throughout recovery period. Due to Curry’s breath taking performance in Game four of the Western Semi
In four games against Chicago in 2014-15, LeBron James averaged 28.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.8 steals in 37.2 minutes per game. In the most recent win over the bulls on april 5 (99-94)James registered a triple-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists and three steals in 37
Game two began with a battle of the pitchers, as both teams remained match through the third inning. Jake Norris would get the Pacers started with a hit to right field advancing Christian Dix to home plate to put the Pacers on the scoreboard (1-0).
For further proof on why Lebron’s scoring makes him the best is last game he played against the Kings the final score was 141 Heat to 129 Kings.
Something is cooking in the city of Philly, the 76ers are moving on to the 2nd round in the NBA playoffs. The sixers beat the Miami Heat on April 24, 2018 causing an uproar in sports again. Many people believed the 76ers were a team that would be gone early on in the playoffs but now things have changed. Philadelphia has become a powerhouse in sports, a better city, and even a new bandwagon target.
“Welcome to the Beasts of the East Basketball Tournament!” said the announcer heartily into the microphone, “Alright y’all, I have a huge stash of fun for you ladies and gents this breathtaking evening, and I can assure this year will be just as good if not better than lasts!”
began to think about playing to win. They won the third game 3-0 when rookie Dickie Kerr
Throughout the series, we have seen the Spurs transition from keeping up with the Rockets uptempo style, to enforcing their defensive prowess, and disrupting the game plan of Houston. We have seen Houston, however, expand the floor and knock down the long ball at a tremendous rate. Going forward, there are issues that both coaches need to fix. For one, the free flowing Houston offense is slowly but surely reverting back to heavy reliance on James Harden. D'Antoni needs to implement more of his bench, generate even more points inside the 3 point arc, and find a way to contain Kawhi Leonard. For Pop, closing out the series will mean exploiting Houston in every way possible. Without Nene, and an incompetent Ryan Anderson on defense, the coaching staff needs to ingratiate Pau Gasol into the offense more effectively. 4 points in 20 minutes for a future Hall-of-Famer, no matter how old, is unacceptable, and like we've seen with the great Eric Spoelstra in Miami during the big 3 era, Pop has to dump the ball into Gasol to get him going the way Spo did Chris Bosh. This way there is more cohesion on the offensive end and more guys are in rhythm when slumps occur. The finale of this series will come down to the coaching, and the coach who implements better strategy will be
