Elvis was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, but moved to Nashville with his family when he was a teen. He was 11 when he got his first guitar and that is when he fell in love with music. In 1953, when Elvis was a teen, he decided to stop by Sun Studios to record a few songs he made ("Elvis Presley"). His first single that made it big and was played on the local radio in 1954 was "That's All Right". Sam Phillips (producer of Sun Studios) saw Elvis’s talent and had guitarist, Scotty Moore and bass player, Bill Black work with Elvis. The three of them performed at Louisiana Hayride, which is where Elvis became more well known. In 1955, Elvis signed with RCA Records and made his first album in January, 1956.
