After World War 1, Europe was left to rebuild and restabilize, which gave the opportunity for Adolf Hitler to seize power in many other countries other than Germany. In about 1939, World War II officially erupted when the Nazi’s invaded Poland, which forced Poland’s allies, France and Great Britain, to fight back and join the war. Within the next few years, many more allies joined the war, creating another “Great War”. Unfortunately, in 1940 “The Battle of France” occurred, and Germany took control of France. Four years later, D-day in Normandy, France occurred. This was an invasion of Canadian, American, and British soldiers against Hitler’s troops which had previously invaded France. D-Day is when “Saving Private Ryan” begins.

Two days later, on September 3, both Britain and France had declared war on Germany. The Soviet Union invaded Eastern Poland September 17, and by September 27, Poland had surrendered. This was

In 1939, World War II started with every nation in the world, which made that the worst world war ( World War II). There were several nations who wanted world peace, but some such as German and Japan wanted to conquer the world. Germany started by invading Poland and other European countries that Germany thought Germans should have conquered during World War II (World War II). The Soviet Union and Germany became allies and agreed that Poland should be divided (World War II). Great Britain was threatened by the invasion of Poland and declared war ( World War II).
With Germany now a very powerful country, the Soviet Union signs a nonaggression pact with Hitler, promising not to attack each other and secretly dividing Poland among them. WORLD WAR II BEGINS: While a previous appeasement was agreed, Hitler ignored it and had now rushed his troops to Poland. Fighting against the Allied Powers of Britain and France who declares war on Germany, World War II finally begins. Hitler moves west and once capturing Poland, Hitler turns toward Western Europe, conquering Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherland. Now Hitler has won a battle against France.

World War 2 began on the third of September 1939 and ended second of September 1945. It may seem short in hindsight, but it was a brutal six years. The war began after Germany invaded Poland. The tension had been building up for some time, with Germany breaking the treaty of Versailles by moving troops into the Rhineland demilitarized zone and invading Czechoslovakia. So by the time Germany invaded Poland, the other countries were fed up and the war officially began. The allies (Britain, Canada and the USA) were ready to dislodge Hitler, the leader of the government party known as the Nazi, from ‘Fortress Europe’.
Germany was also destroyed by WW1 and became ridden with debt and deceit. The loss had destroyed the German peoples pride and the reparations the Europeans requested, created great animosity. This resentment would lead to a leader like Adolf Hitler to unify the country and in their eyes bring great change. The Nazi party would become a mass movement and a totalitarian regime that would shape the western world for the rest of history. Hitler was democratically elected in 1933 and would become the supreme chancellor of Germany’s new Nazi state. These two new countries forged through death and despair and paranoia would face off in the years to come. Maintaining an off-putting relationship that would eventually boil over into the largest war
World War Two began in 1939, and lasted until 1945. It was started by the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles forced Germany to lose lots of its’ land and people, have to openly accept the guilt of war, that World War One was their fault, and they had to pay 6.6 billion pounds to the Allies for damages caused by the war. The Treaty of Versailles had four main terms. War Guilt, Germany had to accept the blame for starting World War 1. Reparations, Germany had to pay a huge fine for damages caused in the war. Territorial Clauses, Germany lost a lot of its land. Disarmament, Germany was only allowed a small army, and no tanks, submarines or air force. Germany was obviously not happy with the terms of this

It’s 4:30am on September 1st, 1939 and the German battleship Schleswig-Holstein awaits for the order to open fire on the Polish garrison of the Westerplatte Fort, Danzig in what was to become the first military engagement of World War II. Meanwhile, sixty two German divisions supported by 1,300 fighter planes prepared for the invasion of Poland. Fifteen minutes later the invasion would take place and spark the beginning of World War II. Two days later at 9am Great Britain would send an ultimatum to Germany, demanding that they pull from Poland or go to war with Great Britain. Four hours later the Ultimatum would expire and Great Britain would officially be at war with Germany on September 3rd, 1939. Six hours later France would also
The lead up to the Second World War happened in 1936 when Adolf Hitler, Führer to the German people, moved his troops into the demilitarised zone in the Rhineland, West of Germany. Once he controlled the region, his next plan would be to annex Austria in 1938 and later in the same year, Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia consisting of German minorities was also annexed by the Germans. Britain and France accepted the ‘Anschluss’ of Austria as it was a German speaking country and the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia was also resolved by France and Britain at the Munich Agreement. In 1939, Hitler broke the Munich Agreement with France and Britain leading to him occupying most of Czechoslovakia. The last roll of the dice occurred when Hitler signed a non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union, meaning that he could invade Poland in which he had no hesitation in doing so. As a result, these actions triggered the beginning of the Second World War.
