So president John F. Kennedy was on a trip to Texas but why? JFKLibrary.org states, “At the end of September, the president traveled west, speaking in nine different states in less than a week. The trip was meant to put a spotlight on natural resources and conservation efforts. But JFK also used it to sound out themes—such as education, national security, and world peace for his run in 1964.” So basically he was trying to make people like him more so he could be reelected. But as some know that did not happen. On that day we was, riding in a 1961 Lincoln continental the continental was made with seats that rose up to 10 inches above average to rise up the president this made him an even easier target but would have the seats being down stopped this tragedy from happening probably not. …show more content…
Also, the first thing the doctor said when he saw Kennedy was that he was shot from the front of the throat but the government didn't acknowledge this at all. Witnesses at the Grassy Nole also said the shots came from above them. Also, there is evidence that the F.B.I received warnings about this then changed the route, but what if these weren't warnings, but more the F.B.I working with someone to make sure the president would be dead. The vice president was also a little sketchy to white house workers say the night before the assassination, he said “the kennedys will never embarrass me like that again.” What did he mean
According to findings of the Select Committee on Assassinations, Lee Harvey Oswald fired three shots at President John F. Kennedy. While all but one bullet hit the President, the third and final shot fired killed the President. They believe that President Kennedy was struck by two rifle shots fired from behind him from the sixth floor window of the southeast
At least fifty-one people claim that at least one shot came from the grassy knoll in front of the President. We have listed many of these witnesses and most are reputable, established people in the community. Most compelling is Kenny O'Donnell's and Dave Power's dinner with House Speaker Tip O'Neal. O'Donnell told the speaker that he testified to the Warren Commission that a shot came from the front and they saw smoke. Members of the FBI questioned President Kennedy's major adviser and told him, he must have been confused. O'Donnell was devastated by the assassination and his concern was for the family. No matter what he said, his President would still
On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in his limousine while traveling through downtown Dallas, Texas. Immediately after the president’s death was announced, people wondered who killed their beloved president. Days after the Warren Commission was released to the public, conspiracy theories were formed of what really happened: the “Umbrella Man” did it, Lee Harvey Oswald was aiming for John Connally but miss and killed JFK by accident, and some ridiculous theories such as the Mafia killed the president. Despite the various conspiracy theories formed, logical or absurd, research proves the CIA is held responsible for assassinating President John F. Kennedy. There were many reasons how and why the Central Intelligence Agency murdered the president. An article written by Joe Lanier claims the CIA “wanted JFK dead because he had threatened to get rid of their corrupt Nazi clandestine organization and shred it into a thousand pieces” (Who Killed John F. Kennedy?). Lyndon B. Johnson was working with the CIA and hired Cord Meyer, CIA Assassin Master to put together the death squad to murder JFK. Cord Meyer and the president did not get
The throat wound was found to be an inch lower than Kennedy’s adams apple, and the Warren Commission had it an inch lower than that. The location was not where the Warren Commission said it was at because there was no bullet hole there, and there was no bullet damage to his tie (“Who Killed president Kennedy”). There was damage to his tie, but that couldn’t have been caused by the bullet. It was caused by a surgical instrument. The reason it couldn’t have been caused by a bullet is because there was copper found around the bullet hole in his shirt, but none on the tie (“Who Killed president Kennedy”). Another big problem was the location of the back wound. It is identified to be between four and six inches below the top of the shirt collar. Therefore, the bullet hole in Kennedy’s back was lower than the one that exited his throat (Flynn). If Oswald did shoot from the sixth-floor window, there is no way that the bullet could have entered four to six inches below the shirt collar as described in the autopsy and exited through his throat. The bullet would have been following a downward path and, therefore, would have exited lower than it entered (Flynn). This means that the two wounds were either caused by separate bullets, or that the bullet was fired from somewhere other than the sixth-floor window. There should also be at least one more bullet to account for the wounds
Contrary to the Warren Commission’s findings, Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone, did not kill President John F. Kennedy. There are several crucial areas of evidence, which prove Lee Harvey Oswald did not kill the president. Numerous eyewitness accounts show that the shots came from the direction of the grassy knoll (Jack Hill), and not from the Texas School Book Depositary. The number and timing of the bullets fired again prove that Oswald, acting alone, did not kill President Kennedy. Oswald also could not possibly have had the opportunity to shoot President Kennedy, and the rifle in question
However Castro found out about the plot, apparently through one of the Mafia bosses who was a Cuban sympathizer, Carlos Trafficante, and redirected it back at Kennedy. Another one of the mafia bosses also wanted to get back at Kennedy. Kennedy had won the presidential election with the mafia's help, and still his brother Robert, Attorney General at the time, was publicly prosecuting these same bosses as an effort to put down organized crime. It is believed that Trafficante redirected the Cuban exiles to accompany Oswald in Dallas. The third is the amount of government cover-ups that arose from the assassination. One year earlier Kennedy had made a secret pack with Russia that he would not interfere with the Cuban government. But Kennedy broke this pack by plotting to assassinate Castro. It was believed that if Castro was assassinated then Russia would have retaliated with nuclear weapons. Therefore Kennedy had to be eliminated so that this would not have happened. His death virtually eliminated the threat of Soviet retaliation against the U.S. for his plot to remove Castro using Mafia resources. The murder of Oswald by Jack Ruby plays into this theory that the government was somehow involved. Why would Jack Ruby kill Oswald? I believe that Ruby killed Oswald so that he would not leak to the public that the assassination was a conspiracy. How would the American people take it? Our president was killed by our own
There is a plethora of conspiracy theories regarding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. They range from the incumbent of the former Soviet Union to organized crime.
After the assassination of John F. Kennedy, there were a lot of conspiracies regarding the mastermind behind the assassination. President Kennedy was assassinated due to him seeking a way out of the Cold war and starting negotiations with Soviet Union. Charlene Fitsimmons, a friend of JFK was told by an agent named Gary Underhill that he was killed by CIA and that Oswald was a CIA agent. He was helped and was set up by CIA to go for it. According to Gary, there were clear evidences of how they made their way through and he couldn’t believe that they got away with it but they did.
JFK wanted to overthrow Fidel Castro, so he sent Cuban exiles to invade their homeland.
that he could assume the presidency. The CIA wanted JFK eliminated because he wanted to
On a clear sunny day in Dallas Texas, November 22, 1963 to be exact, at about 12:30pm, the President's car rounded the curve in front of the Texas School Book Depository building and proceeded on to Main Street throughout Dally plaza. Shots rang out and the President was rushed to the nearby hospital and was declared dead at 1pm. The Vice President took the oath of office and flew back to Washington with the slain leader. The accused assassin was arrested, charged and then executed on national television in front of millions. Three days latter, the Texas officials in charge of the investigation declared the case closed and the new President set up a hand picked committee to investigate. The
Nevertheless, quite suspicious is how Kennedy 's body was placed in a casket and taken from Parkland Hospital and driven to Air Force One, where it was loaded aboard the airplane through the rear door, where it remained at the rear of the passenger compartment, in place of a removed row of seats. The body was removed before the Dallas County coroner Earl Rose, which violated Texas state law (the murder was a state crime and occurred under Texas legal jurisdiction), could conduct a forensic examination. At that time, it was not a federal offense to kill the President of the United States, although it was a federal crime to conspire to injure a federal officer while he was acting in the line of duty. ("Assassination of John F. Kennedy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia," 2014) Why was the body not seen by the Dallas Coroner? I found this to be Puzzling. Later federal agencies such as the Assassination Records Review Board criticized the autopsy on several grounds including destruction from burning of the original draft of the autopsy report and notes taken by Commander James Humes at the time of the autopsy, and failure to maintain a proper chain of custody of all of the autopsy materials. ("John F. Kennedy autopsy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia," 2014) As earlier stated, there is new data and confirmation supporting the single bullet theory, but also, a conspiracy could be likely, given the conclusion of the HSCA’s investigation.
In 1963, President John F. Kennedy was sadly assassinated supposedly by Lee Harvey Oswald. Although it is still a mystery exactly how and why he was assassinated, but we do have evidence that could lead to possible reasoning. There are three main theories on how he was assassinated, Oswald being the lone assassin, Oswald being part of a larger conspiracy, and that Oswald was completely innocent. Based on the evidence, the most plausible theory is that Oswald was part of a larger conspiracy. This is because when Kennedy was shot, the shots came from multiple directions. They think that Oswald shot Kennedy while he was on the third floor of Texas School Book Depository, plus he was shot with explosive rounds, which don’t ricochet. So in order
Instead of looking at every single piece of evidence, conspiracy theorists choose only what they need to back up their false claims. Ironically, the people who claim that the Warren Commission distorted the autopsy reports, the Zapruder film, and other evidence are the same people who distort their evidence and twist the truth to make it fit to their own theories. But conspiracy theories are never going to cease to exist; they are obsessive fanaticisms. Furthermore, the assassination occurred 50 years ago and, still, not one word has been said or has been leaked that any mobs were involved or that the CIA was involved in Kennedy’s assassination. By now, if someone else helped Oswald, we would
President Kennedy accomplished many things while in office including, establishing the peace corps, emphasized public service, set a goal to put man on the moon, prevented nuclear war, etc. Kennedy depicted a “get-it-done optimism” which was so powerful for America to witness. Jackie Kennedy referred to her husband 's presidency as "Camelot," a wistful nod to the legend and idealism of King Arthur and his round table of heroic knights” (Walsh). During JFK’s presidency, Americans believed that they lived in an enchanted country where people could strive to better their lives (Walsh). Subsequently, JFK was fixing to run for president again to ensure that America stayed in a place of peace.
