The Crusades were a series of wars that happened over the control of the Holy Lands in
Jerusalem. This was a series of Holy wars that started in 1096 and lasted 200 years. They fought these wars because both the Muslims and the Christians wanted it for their control because they both saw it as a holy land for their religions. These bloody wars impacted the society at that time and the effects of the Crusades can still be seen in society today.
The Crusades impacted people of that time. First of all, Pope Urban the II was telling the people that the Holy Lands that were being invaded by the Muslim Turks and that they needed people to go fight. As a result, thousands of people went to fight and not a lot came back. When people traveled to the

Each group thought that
Jerusalem should be solely their own in order to bring closeness to their God. But in fact the
Crusades caused each group to behave in ways that were against their own religion anyway. A few people, like Marco Polo, looked past the desire for control of the land and focused on the all the new places, people and knowledge to explore. This brought about learning about things unknown and about developments that improved the lives of people in other parts of the world.
It’s not hard to image the results of a Crusade today because Holy Wars are still being fought in many parts of the world. The Muslim and Jewish people are still fighting a war over land in the Middle East. In 1947, the United Nations separated land and gave some to the Jewish people and created the state of Israel. This was not accepted well by either group of people. The
Jewish people say they have a right to the land based on history and their religion. The Palestine people also say they have the right to the land on the basis of history, religion and their ethnic claim. Fighting is still happening.
Another modern day religious war happened in Nigeria in the 2010’s between
The Crusades of the High Middle Ages (a.d. 1050-1300) was a period of conquest or rather, reconquest, of Christian lands taken from Muslims in the early Middle Ages. It is an era romanticized by fervent Christians as the time when Christianity secured its honorable status as the true religion of the world. The affect of the Crusades is still with us today. It sailed from Spain and Portugal to the Americas in the fifthteenth century aboard sailing ships carrying conquistadors who sought new territory and rich resources. They used the shield and sword of Christianity to justify a swift conquest of mass territory and the subjugation of the indigenous peoples; a mentality learned, indeed,
The whole crowd was excited and very proud. A song called “Hatikvah” was sung by many. The official creation of the state of Israel was declared by David Ben-Gurion. David Ben-Gurion was the prime minister at the time.War had broken out, and on May 13, danger struck Israel. An air attack was ordered on Tel Aviv. Many surrounding groups attacked Israel. These groups destroyed Jewish cities and defense forces. All of these events happened very close after independence was declared. The attack was most likely planned to provoke Israel right after they were excited to get their own homeland. It was a brutal attack to intimidate and show them how they did not approve of their presence. That year, in 1948, the “Arab-Israeli War” started. The Palestinian area was invaded by five other Arab countries practically immediately after Israel was announced. Some other countries included Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Egypt. Around 30 million people attack Israel (The New York Times Upfront). An extraordinary amount of Palestinian Arabs were deported to other places. This was due to the war going on. Part of the motive for this war was that Jerusalem, an very religious area located in Israel, would be managed by the UN. Some Palestinian Arabs were angry and therefore war broke out. Fortunately, most of the fighting stopped in 1949. The bordering nations accepted armistice lines. The armistice lines lasted until 1967.
Though there were a lot of effects which resulted out of crusades, there were numerous impacts too:
The Arab/Israeli conflict is a conflict between the Arabs and the Jews over a small piece of land known as the holy land which is an area in the Middle East of the Arab world. The Arabs call the land Palestine, the Jews call it Israel but both religions have strong religious links with the land. There is conflict between the two religions because they both believe that the land belongs to them.
The Crusades, a series of wars, are an extremely important part of history in the 12th century, occurring during the Middle Ages. The Middle East or the Holy Land was always a place that Christians traveled to to make pilgrimages. The Seljuk Turks eventually took control of Jerusalem and all Christians were not allowed in the Holy City. As the Turks power grew, they threatened to take over the Byzantine Empire and Constantinople. The Byzantine Emperor, Alexius I, asked Pope Urban II for help and Pope agreed, hoping to strengthen his own power. He He united the Christians in Europe and In 1095, Pope Urban II waged waged war against muslims in order to “reclaim the holy land.”
Going against modern day religious beliefs, in 1095AD the Christians went to war to claim the holy city of Jerusalem, massacring the Muslims in a bloody attempt to worship their God. Pope Urban II’s speech at Clermont inspired by claims made by the Byzantium Emperor encouraged the Christians to partake in the First Crusade in an attempt to liberate Jerusalem. The religious and economic factors were the most relevant to cause this crusade, with some influence from desired political gain and little from social factors unrelated to religion. The immediate consequences were positive for the Christians and negative for the Muslims, but the First Crusade launched an ongoing conflict between the Christians and Muslims which had positive and negative consequences for both sides. There are a number of relevant modern sources which examine the causes and consequences of the First Crusade, but, while there are many medieval sources, they do not explicitly discuss the causes and consequences of the war. In order to fully comprehend the First Crusade, it is necessary to analyse the religious, economic, and political factors, as well as the short-term, long-term, and modern consequences.
Three of the world’s most powerful religions had gone to war during the Crusades, the same war that is responsible for an estimated 1.7 million deaths. The Crusades were a series of Christian military expeditions that lasted through nine Holy Wars. The first crusade, in 1095, was called upon by Pope Urban II in an attempt to stop the Muslim expansion to the Holy City of Jerusalem. Through this, the Christian, Catholic, and Muslim churches will go into a time of warfare as an attempt to both show their religious superiority and have a religious expansion. The western side of Europe was the most significantly impacted by the Crusades because of the 4th Crusade, the foreign influence from the East, and Europe’s economic relations with the world.
It was the terrible thing for them and a violent war. At first, They had trouble with each other. They don't believe in each other or their religions. There religions were hatred that people are starting to kill each other because of their religious hatred of each other. They were not happy with each other and started to kill Christians or Muslims.
The Crusades were a fight for the Holy Land between Christians , Muslims and Jews. The Crusade left a very negative legacy because of the hatred and how they left all the land. The result of the Crusade came out more negative because how much land and historical things were destroyed. Document 4 states that a library and relics were destroyed in Constantinople.
The Crusades were the epic battles for the holy city of Jerusalem, first controlled by Constantinople. In the beginning, everything was at peace with the holy land, when a group of people entered and took over Jerusalem. Soon, in 1095, Pope Urban II called on all the Christians in the land to fight for the city, so that they could take it back. He said that to anyone who fought or were killed in battle, their sins would be pardoned. Therefore, there were many Christians who took themselves and their families to fight for Jerusalem. The first battle must have been very bloody. A man named Raymond d’Aguiliers had accounts of the crusades, having followed the Crusaders and recorded everything he saw. He says it was an extraordinary sight, stating
The First Crusade, a time of strife, war, and bloodshed. The First Crusade was a war for the Holy Land. It was called into effect by Pope Umbar II in an attempt to reclaim the Holy Land from the Jews and to return it to Christianity and to assist in repelling the Turks.
The crusades has much related to today's society in many ways. Even though the Crusades were more consisted around the subject of religion, there is far more that we are now segregated from. Examples of this would be when speaking of gender roles, sexualities, interracialism, and more that is mainly consisted out of love, and personal beliefs. In the Crusades, they went to war because of the holy land, and who they believed to be the ruling religion. There are now riots in the streets, and people being shot, just out of the color, relationship preference, or religion they are. The many battles that were fought in the Crusades had effect, but didn't really change much, in ways things are seen in current times. All though there are places that
In Palestine case Arab were very sensitive regarding this topic because of Jewish has occupied sacred land to the Arabs Muslims. Where a Jew also holds a very religious value to Palestine The divide of Palestine between therefore Arabs and Jews arose many conflicts between two parties that leads them to enter the long war for each of them to gain the holy land.
Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world. Located in between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea, It is the main destination for those tourists that have a desire of getting a grasp of the Western East Countries, and for many, a unique religious experience. However, Jerusalem: also called the "Holy Land" has by its name a very controversial meaning: " The City of Peace". Once ago in this place, according to the Hebrew Bible (The Tanakh), the Temple of Solomon was built. According to the Muslim Bible (The Quran), also the location of the Dome of the Rock. From the Christian point of view and The Bible, It was once the place where the trial, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus took place. This series of religious events have brought up along with it a conflict in between Middle Eastern Countries for more than 50 years long with one main question on the plate: Who fairly and ethically deserves to live in the Holy Land?
Palestine is a historic land in which both Judaism and Christianity were originated. It is considered “The Holy Land” because it is a sacred place to the Muslims and many stories in the Christian Bible take place in Palestine. Palestine’s geographical location between Egypt and southwest Asia has caused it to be the center of many wars for thousands of years. Arab and Jewish inhabitants of Palestine fought for control of the territory and in 1949 Palestine was split apart into Israel, Jordan, and Egypt making many of the former residents refugees.
