There were certain circumstances from the ending of World War I that led up to World War II. Such great destruction caused the victorious nations to suffer almost as much as the vanquished nations. In an attempt to bring peace, the Treaty of Versailles actually helped cause a lot of dissatisfaction between some successful nations, as well as most of the defeated nations. The economy of Germany was shaken by what the Treaty of Versailles stated. Germany along with Europe both had difficulties and struggles recovering. The United States had the resources to relieve international tensions, but refused which led to world affairs. The United States, at this time, even refused to join in the League of Nations. The Americans consumed control over
Though the treaty of versailles created peace and harmony in many nations after the first world war it left Germany to be humiliated and dishonored and to be worthless as a result Germany revolted, plunging the world into a second world war.
In 1914, Germany and Austria-Hungary allied against France, Britain, USA and Italy in World War 1. The war resulted in resentment towards the Germans. Woodrow Wilson, president of the United States, established a treaty that would bring everlasting peace. For the Germans however, the treaty served as a punishment, as they were required to accept the responsibility for causing all of the damage. Germany was angered by the treaty as they would have to pay for reparations and take responsibility for everything. Territorial losses, militarism, economic reparations and blame were all causes of World War II.
World war two was a very deadly and gory war, one of America’s most deadly in fact. Around 80 million soldiers, civilians, and Jewish people were killed. The Versailles treaty produced German anger and humiliation sowing the seeds for world war two. Adolf Hitler was an evil man and many of the non-believers in Hitler, commanded malediction on him. Billions of soldiers died, thousands of families were affected. Versailles Treaty did nothing more than throw countries onto a trapdoor of chaos, battle, unsolved arguments.
World War I is a war that took the lives of more than 10 million soldiers and over 7 million civilians, and wounded 10 million more. It was a conflict between the Axis powers, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Turkey, and the Allies, France, England, Russia, and Italy. After the war ended the leaders met at the Versailles Palace just outside of Paris for a treaty to settle future disputes and avoid war. The treaty was finally signed on June 28, 1919 and because Germany was responsible for war damageous and costs, they were angry and humiliated. The Treaty of Versailles lead to World War II through territorial losses, military restrictions, economic war reparations, and war guilt.
One of the reasons that caused World War 2 was the treaty of Versailles because President Woodrow Wilson, Georges Clemenceau and Lloyd Georges wanted a peace treaty for all different reasons (history on the net, 18/09/15) Woodrow wanted the peace treaty based on his 14-point plan based, this basically means he wanted long lasting peace and he did a speak called the 14- points explaining 14 reasons why he wanted long lasting peace, which he believed would bring peace to Europe. Imagine a court in the 1900s where all the nations of Europe were gathered around to finally end the current conflict and possibly all future wars. Tension built up in each country as each nation signed a treaty that would promise this goal. However, this treaty only caused even more conflict. Thus, one might ask themselves, In what ways did the Treaty of Versailles lead to World War II? The Treaty of Versailles created tension and anger in different countries that it helped cause World War II.
The Treaty of Versailles was a controversial treaty, not only because of what it embodied, but what it took to get the Treaty in motion. The Great War, or World War I, lasted between 1914 and 1918. This war occurred over a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, political alliances between nations, ethnic tensions in Europe, and most of all, the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Austria-Hungary. With the bloody stalemate continuing without any end, the United States still held its position as a neutral world power, but events, such as the sinking of the Lusitania, caused the United States to recant its neutral position to a position in fighting against Germany. The end of World War I officially ended by the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, but wasn't signed by the U.S. Whether this was President Wilson's fault or the Senate's fault, has been questioned over the last decade.
As a result from World War 1 governments were in shambles, economies were destroyed, and leaders were lacking skills needed to maintain people in these conditions . The world was once again a ticking time bomb. Between the end of World War One and the start of World War Two these effects were felt all over the world. Many people have different ideas on how World War Two was caused. However it was not one single event that set of the war, it was an accumulation of many problems that built up over time. Though many factors contributed in starting the war there were three that were the most prominent, these were, the effects of the Treaty of Versailles, Hitler 's actions, and the failure among the league of nations. The treaty left people starving, impoverished ,and furious. Hitler was not a man of his word, which created many complications among countries. The League of Nations was an international group created to help keep world peace. Failure among the League of nations caused war, because there was no one that was able advocate peace. In conclusion, many small events pathed the way for war however effects of the The League Of Nations, Treaty Of Versailles, and Hitler 's goals were 3 large events that turned the tides of war.
The First World War can only be described as having been devastating. Thanks to World War I, Europe was left in debt and largely devastated. Both sides, i.e. the winners and the losers, suffered casualties never experienced prior to the First Word War. Millions were killed and scores wounded. It is thus understandable that at the end of it all, the victors were seething with anger and seeking revenge. They sought to make those they blamed for the war as weak as possible and with this, the Treaty of Versailles was born. To date, this very treaty is regarded the major cause of the Second World War. Instead of creating peace, as it was intended, this treaty ended up triggering yet another conflict.
World War II: 80 million deaths; the largest war in history. And it is widely disputed whether the Treaty of Versailles was to blame. World War I resulted in ten million deaths (which is seemingly incomparable to World War II), but sparked a treaty to prevent further war. The superpowers of the world clashed wills over its content. The Treaty of Versailles was originally meant to liberate Eastern European countries, but in bitterness was Germany relentlessly punished. The Treaty of Versailles was the root cause of World War II through its terms causing Germany’s humiliation, insurmountable reparations, loss of land, and restriction of military.
The Treaty of Versailles ended the Great War, known by generations today as World War I. Logic says that to have a First World War there needs to be a Second World War. World War I was started by the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand and World War II by the Nazi invasion of Poland (Carlisle 2; Black, C.E., and E.C. Helmreich 166). In the end, it may have been the end of the First World War that helped fester the perfect conditions for a Second World War. The Treaty of Versailles caused the rise of Nazi Germany because of the hatred toward the unfair treaty, the harsh reparations that aided increasing economic hardships, and the promise of power, land, and wealth after it had all been taken away.
In 1919 World War I was ended with a treaty signing, this treaty would be hard for the Germans to meet the demands of this treaty. So, throughout the rebuild the German empire there was a clear mindset of revenge in the heads of many. World War II was the outcome of Germany’s revenge, and when this war began in 1939 it showed many similarities from World War I. Due to this I undoubtable think that World War II was derived from World War I.
WWI was a major shot for the world. It left Europe corrupted , and the victors looking for revenge. Allies making the treaty should have been worried about the future, they allowed themselves to become involved with worries about power making the Germans as weak as possible. The Treaty Of Versailles signed on June 28th, 1919 was created to make peace, and ended the state of war between Germany and Allied powers. The treaty forced Germany to lose territory and caused serious problems. Such as weakening Germany's government, the rise of fascism and Hitler in Germany after world war I.
The Versailles treaty helped cause second world war in many ways. Germany and other countries already had helped cause World War l with nationalism, militarism, and imperialism. Some countries were still doing that. Germany thought they could come back and win second war. The Versailles treaty produced German anger and humiliation sowing the seeds for world war 2.
Once the Treaty of Versailles was signed the debt that Germany had to swallow because of the treaty hurt their economy to the point of super high inflation. The treaty basically faulted Germany for starting the war and damaging all of Europe. No one truly fought it in Europe until a man by the name of Adolf Hitler came into power. The conclusion of the war left the entire world in a depression for the most part. Since Germany could not pay the sanctions do to the high inflation other countries were not receiving the payments causing governments to run deficits. Germany ended up printing so much money that in the end their money was worthless. The sanctions were hard to overcome. The worldwide depressions ended up causing unrest among countries and began getting unhappy with the failure of Germany to pay the reparations. Unemployment was running high among countries. Countries just wanted to see the sanctions paid and move on with their lives, but could not because of the poor economies around the
