Before starting my research, I had to pick my topic. I knew that I wanted to research a woman whose actions or discoveries are still impacting our society today. After looking through many candidates, I came across Hedy Lamarr, women who developed the technology responsible for most of our communication devices such as, Wi-Fi, military radios, and much other wireless gear. She was a powerful woman who possessed not only beauty but elegance and intelligence. These characteristics she possessed made me very intrigued to learn more about her and her accomplishments.

I also find it very helpful in modern day society, with jobs, school work, and lots more. For website designers or game creators they need wifi, or frequency hopping. I need it to do a majority of my homework as well as other students. In my personal opinion I think life would be much more difficult without wifi because if it wasn't for wifi I would be able to play games, or watch shows on my phone or iPad. My dad is a website creator and designer, he relies on wifi to get his work done.

In pieces such as Her and I, Robot, we see the evolution of robots and artificial intelligence into a more empathetic and humanlike creatures. This gradual change in our views of robots overtime speaks volumes to the evolution of technology. Technology in literature has become a reflection of human beings themselves, mirroring the very qualities of ourselves that make us human. By looking at the personality that technology takes on in literature, we can greater understand the aspects of ourselves that truly make us human.

In the decade of the 1920's when radio was first introduced to public, people begin buying it and using it more and more, as years passed by it become incredibly popular that most American families had a radio at their houses.
