Medea is a tragedy of a woman betrayed by her husband Jason and bent on revenge to the extreme of killing her own sons. Medea as the the main character we see her perspective on the story as to where she is the one being betrayed and view her actions before and following that. Medea feels betrayed by Jason, for him wanting a new woman and she lets the jealousy consume her.

Medea bent on revenge so furiously that she will go to no extent to pursue what she feels just. First, she was angry, then cold and conniving. The lower she sinks the more terrible revenge she wants to reap on Jason. After Jason left her for another woman, Medea went into a rage. Medea felt that Jason hurt her so bad that murdering who he loves will justify her pain. As in the new woman the princess and even her very own children. Medea’s plan to murder the princess had to be cunning and precise. She used the fact that the princess was a spoiled girl who loved gifts and would not say no to something new and shiny. Medea poisoning a new shiny crown and beautiful dress so that the princess will wear it and poisoning herself to death, thus also killing the Creon the king as he attempts to help the princess, was how she filled out her plan to get …show more content…

Medea went into such a blind rage for those who hurt her that the consequences of it doesn’t affect her. Medea is cunning in the way the commits her revenge in that she has everything planned or has the mind set and power to persuade her way out of it. Medea had such an insidious scheme that everything was planned perfect to the very end with a “getaway car” that was a flying chariot. Medea plans her revenge plans so well that she even gets a flying chariot from the sun god Helios. Her darkness shines throughout her body and glows immensely towards the end of her story.
