Multitasking is when more than one task is done at the same time by a single individual. Although multitasking may show others that you are capable of successfully finishing a task on your own showing signs of leadership, it may also give others negative effects within them mentally and physically, in like manner multitasking can give those a negative emotion. At the same time, Multitasking in some cases can be positive.

In addition, multitasking has a powerful effect in our daily lives, an effect that can be negative for an individual’s mental health. According to a study at the University of Sussex, constant multitasking actually damages your brain. These effects set off high blood pressure and an increase in heart rate as well as triggering a high amount of stress upon your life. A constant amount of stress hormones can strain the body and threaten health. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health have recently reported that numerous studies have found that on-the-job stress can cause headaches, stomach trouble, and sleep problems. Chronic work-related stress can lead to chronic problems, including back pain, heart disease, and depression.

In spite of the negative effects of multitasking, there is also a small amount of positive effects. Studies indicate a certain amount of people can be educated on how to multitask where modifications within brain activity have been measured as refining performance of numerous tasks. Studies also show that Multitasking can also be assisted with coordination techniques, such as taking notes periodically, or logging current status during an interruption to help resume a prior task
