A brawl that occurs in the middle of the street between the family of the Montagues and Capulets, leads to two significant deaths from each side. Romeo Montague being one of many people in the brawl, was just trying to protect a death of his new relative. As two lovers from each family are newly married. This event occurs in the play, Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare. The tension that arises in this play can occur through Dramatic Irony or the overall structure of the play and how it is plotted out. Shakespeare creates dramatic tension through the use of Dramatic Irony. Dramatic Irony is when the audience knows something that the character doesn't know. This is shown when Romeo says, "Tybalt, the reason that i have to love thee."
