Both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have changed throughout the play. In the beginning Macbeth was a good man, he would never have done anything wrong if he had not been pressured to murder the King. Macbeth after he had killed King Duncan he instantly showed signs of regret and fear. He is haunted by nightmares a visions of that night. Lady Macbeth at this point in time of the play is all for the murdering of King Duncan, so that Macbeth can become the High King. She is very anxious to kill the king and even said she would have done it herself if the King didn’t look like her father. As the play progress’s Macbeth is pronounced King, and him and Lady Macbeth both change. Macbeth who is still haunted by nightmares and visions, is losing his mind.
Lady Macbeth is filled evil schemes, and knows how to achieve her goal of getting her husband into the kingly position. Lady Macbeth is very convincing in her ideas, and does not leave a lot of space to think otherwise. Macbeth is not left much choice but to conform himself to his wife’s mischievous strategy to get him to become king. He is very loyal, and wants to remain so to his king even knowing he would become king if Duncan, the present king, were to die. Lady Macbeth, however, has other plans for Macbeth, and she soon has him convinced to commit an act which will change their lives forever. Macbeth and his wife are truly opposite people, as Macbeth is laid back and easy going, while Lady Macbeth wants everything planned out and will go onward with plans no matter who they affect. She truly does make Macbeth a more interesting person through her evil schemes.
Lady Macbeth progresses throughout the play from a seemingly savage and heartless creature to a very delicate and fragile woman. In the beginning of the play, she is very ambitious and hungry for power. She pushes Macbeth to kill Duncan in order to fulfill the witches’ prophecy. In Act I, Scene 6, she asks the gods to make her emotionally strong like a man in order to help her husband go through with the murder plot. In the play The Tragedy of Macbeth written by William Shakespeare takes place in 1606 England. The setting (Time) of the play The Tragedy of Macbeth takes place around the middle ages around the eleventh century (11th) to be specific. In the play they didn’t only stay in England the move to numerous places for example they move to Scotland for a while. Setting is important to in the play The Tragedy of Macbeth because it allowes the reader/viewer to have a better understanding of the play/book. If The Tragedy of Macbeth was written in a different setting (time and place) the whole play/story would have been different.
Death is always very mysterious and there are many questions that follow after one's death. Like could have this been avoided, or could we have changed the situation. There's always a what if in life and death. Just like in the story about macbeth, there were many people that died that could have been changed and not have happened, however there is one that stood out the most that seemed to be faulty, this would be Lady macbeth. Even though there was chance that situation could have changed and there would have been no death and she would have went crazy, there was no real way to stop the power of what if’s.
The way that Lady Macbeth and Macbeth have changed this far in the play. Is Lady Macbeth is now the quiet one and in the begging of the play she was very dominate. And Macbeth wasn’t was dominate. The way Macbeth is more dominate is because at first he wasn’t really up to killing people and he wasn’t wanting to commit crimes.
As the play continues, we pick up that Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s relationship changes himself and her. Their relationship signifies, trust, cruelness, and teamwork. Soon after, Macbeth learnt about the prophecies from the witches, they predicted that he will be the king but also predict that Malcom- the son of King Duncan will become the prince of Cumberland. Feeling uneasy about this, Macbeth writes a letter to his wife and lets her know and she urges Macbeth to kill Duncan to acquire the crown. But Macbeth is quite uneasy about this and isn’t as strong as Lady Macbeth believes because she said herself that if King Duncan did not resemble her father as much, she would do the job. Macbeth became similar to power-hungry Lady Macbeth and Lady Macbeth became just like the Macbeth before the killing of King Duncan. In the beginning of the play Lady Macbeth was the evil one in charge, making decisions for her and Macbeth. She was making decisions for her and Macbeth and forcing him to act upon them. She was the mastermind behind the killing of Duncan. In the beginning of the play Lady Macbeth represents evil by her actions and her wanting to be this way. In the beginning she asks the spirits to unsex her and make her more masculine and powerful. She wants to have her Make thick my blood. Stop up th’ access and passage to remorse, that no compunctious visitings of nature” (1.5.47-61). Lady Macbeth wants for her to not feel any remorse and to act upon what she thinks is right. She wants for Duncan to be killed and forces her husband to do so. She is the mastermind behind the killing of Duncan and causes Macbeth to make a complete change in character. Macbeth begins to not listen to her and starts to boss her around. This really affects Lady Macbeth and she does not know how to proceed. By the end of the play Lady Macbeth gives up on trying to control Macbeth and her evil ways. Lady Macbeth realizes that Macbeth is crazy and she can not control what he does. She then decides that the situation she is in with Macbeth is so bad that she has end her life. Her death is a defeat to her controlling evil ways.
