Life in America would not be how it is today if it weren't for these three people; Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., and Susan B. Anthony. They fought for what they believed and changed America because of it. Abraham Lincoln served as the 16th president of the United States. During his time, he had to make many important decisions, especially as commander in chief during the Civil War. Even though the Union faced many struggles, Lincoln stepped up and lead them to victory over the South. He brought on this feeling of unification throughout the U.S when he gave his famous Gettysburg Address speech after the Union’s victory at Gettysburg. Lincoln also brought hope to African American slaves when he set forth the Emancipation Proclamation,
