I felt that the movie of “A Christmas Carol” was very well performed and presented and that is why I believe the film version was better. Although the film version and the written version were very much alike they also were different. The film version was a lot differently set up and had a higher effect on the viewer than the written version. The film and the written version of “A Christmas Carol” were very much alike, but had some differences. The two forms of this story were extremely similar. They both share the same theme in this story. Also the characters personalities are the same in both the film and the written version. These are why it was difficult to chose which was better. Also why it was more difficult to pick out the differences.
I thought that the movie “A Christmas Carol” was better than the book. Movies provide better action and visual pictures. When watching a DVD you can actually see what is happening in the story and plot. When you read a book you have to use your imagination and visualize what's happening in your head. Although some movies can change the plot and sequencing of the original book, it is still fun to watch the movie and see how different or similar they are.
I much preferred the movie version to the novel. For me, author William Kennedy’s style of writing is needlessly vague and difficult to follow, yet he did a wonderful job adapting
Chains composed of links forged from sin, sorrow and seclusion are Ebenezer Scrooge's awaiting fate, unless he can put his pride behind him to gain forgiveness from those he hurt...before it’s too late. Scrooge believes that man's business is to make money, which opposes Dickens teachings, in his book A Christmas Carol. In A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens shows that one’s business in life is to commit to charity and helping others, through what Scrooge learns from the Three Spirits’ lessons.
Some of these may be very scary and some may only be mildly scary. It
Another major difference between the written story and the movie is the character of the father. In the short story the author only mentions him briefly. "The father went to town to some office. But though
The 3 major differences that were seen are the shattering of the conch, the pilot’s presence, and Ralph’s attitude towards Piggy. Due to these major differences the novel left a greater impact on its readers than the movie on its viewers. Seeing the movie and as well reading the book, personally the book was a better. The book has a very different approach of that showed these 3 major differences to their full extent. Out of the two though, I would choose the book as more pleasant and
They were both good stories and got the point across but one was definitely better than the other. Chaucer did a great job creating this different tale, nobody has made a story quite like Chaucer. The producer also did a great job creating the movie trying to follow Chaucer’s tale with some alterations. The movie and the story have some similarities but they also have some differences.
"A Christmas Carol" a famous christmas movie. Although it isn't hard to believe that people do not realize that there are differences between the movie and the book. In this case, that fits right into that subject. Here are some of the differences between the movie and the novel.
The characters are totally different in the two versions. The short story's main characters are a family; a husband, a wife, and two children. The film's characters are a woman and a man, and the man's mother and younger sister.
The stories are profoundly different from start to finish but they deliver the same values of friendship, courage and trust but their illustration and delivery change throughout the movie and book, but did not make either one of the pieces less entertaining educational nor
Everyman and A Christmas Carol have so many differences between them, yet they have many similarities between them. The main character of Everyman is Everyman, and the main character of A Christmas Carol is Scrooge. Everyman and Scrooge have kindred with whom they interact and talk. They are also both mortal and don’t have salvation. Everyman is summoned by Death to come since it is time for his judgment day, but Scrooge is just taken by the ghosts without consent and showed what the ghosts want to show him.
In my opinion, the play was more entertaining and convincing. Although Sophie did a great job being Scrooge, the characters in the play had more enthusiasm. In the text, I really liked all the spoken detail. They allowed me to imagine the scenes more vividly.
The movie “A Christmas Carol” is better than the book. The book is a very descriptive christmas novel. The movie shows more feeling than the book did. The setting and lighting has set a better mood overall than the book.this is why the movie is better than the book.
According to Wikipedia, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol has had more film adaptations than just about any other book in the English language beginning all the way back in 1901 with a silent short titled Marley’s Ghost. Ebenezer Scrooge has been reinterpreted by many live actors.
The very first difference is probably the most noticeable and important difference between the two versions of the film: the narration of Rick Deckard
