Are you ready to join billions of players worldwide by taking part in the world's most popular sport?
Learning how to play soccer makes you a member of the globe's biggest community - and the best part is, it's easy to do.
Playing soccer as a beginner can seem daunting, but in fact it is simple to pick up. The game is played by eleven players on each team on a field that, while varying in size, is generally around 115 yards by 75 yards. The object is to propel the soccer ball across the opposition's goal-line into the back of the net.
All you need to play is a marked field, two teams, a soccer ball, and an idea of the laws of the game. Thankfully these are also very elementary for the beginner, at least in their basic form.
There are some complex rules that only enthusiasts and experienced players fully understand, but the beauty of football is in its simplicity. With this in mind, remember a few core rules: only goalkeepers can touch the ball with their hands; when tackling for the ball, if you miss and hit the player, it's a foul; a foul in the defender's goal area results in a penalty kick; and there are corner kicks, goal kicks, and throw-ins, depending on how and where the ball goes out of play.

Step 1.
The first is to learn soccer's rules: read the Laws of the Game, or at least glance through them. At just 50 large-type pages, this isn't a huge task, and you'll be surprised at some of the soccer laws in there.
Step 2.
The second step is much more enjoyable: sit back, relax, and watch a game! Whether it's online, on TV, or - the best option - in the flesh, there's nothing like getting into the thick of things by watching soccer being played. It doesn't matter what level you watch from high school through to the World Cup as long as it's played on a regulation field by eleven players a team with a referee: the basics are the same all throughout the
There’s different ways to kick a ball, you can kick it normally, you can curve it, knuckle it. I am going to try my best to explain how to kick a ball normally and some of the other examples. The 1st step is step back a few steps like about 4. Step 2 and this is optional is to look up when you are about to strike the ball this is for to see where the goal is and where you're going to aim.
To be known as a good soccer player, you have to know the most basic rules in soccer. The first major rule in soccer is that you cannot commit fouls on players on the other team. Examples of fouls are pushing, shoving, kicking, and using phisical contact. If you use your hands, you are technally commiting a foul. Players can slide-tackle the opposition fairly, unless you hit the person before you hit the ball. If anyone on your team fouls a person on the other team outside of the eighteen yard box, the other team gets a free kick. In a free kick, the opposing team gets a oppurtunity to get a shot from wherever they got fouled from without any pressure. If your team fouls someone on the other team inside your eighteen yard box, they get a penalty.
Each time you get the ball into your opponent’s goal, you get a point. In order to win you need to have more points than your opponents. The only equipment that Soccer players need to wear are shinguards, cleats, a matching jersey or uniform, and, only if you are a goalie, a pinnie over the jersey or
If you play soccer, you have to practice in order to win, just like any other sport. When playing a game, you need to do moves that you have practiced, to get past the other teams defense and score a goal, and you also have to teach yourself mentally to think before you react. If you have the ball, you can’t just kick it randomly and hope to score, you have to think of your other teammates and work with them to get the ball up the field. Another part of soccer that is very critical is passing. You have to pass the ball and develop new techniques and ways to control how the game is played.
Over the years this sport went under a lot of changes. Each generation brought something new, setting rules of the game. When someone is watching the soccer game, a lot of questions gets on their mind. As any other game, soccer has a set of rules that are followed during the game. It is said that there is 17 basic rules of soccer. The object of soccer is that the player has to get the ball into another team’s goal. The player can use any part of the body except hands and arms. The goalie is the only person that is allowed to touch the ball with his hands. The field of play must be rectangular in shape. Soccer can be played on either grass or artificial turf, but the surface must be green in color. The ball must be in spherical shape. There are 11 players on a team, including the goalkeeper. Each of the players must wear a jersey or a shirt in the same color as his teammates. They also wear shorts, shin guards, long socks and cleats. As in any other game there has to be someone who keeps an eye on rules, scores and the game itself. In soccer, the referee has the most authority on the field. The referee has assistant referees which are responsible for signaling with a flag when a ball goes of play, when a player is fouled, or when a player is in an offside position. It helps a lot in maintaining referee’s duties. The soccer match is divided into two
How many rules are there to play the game soccer? First, the players cannot touch the ball with their hands if they are not the goal keeper. Second rule, the player must stay in his own position to play the game. Third rule is that the person cannot tackle the other person, but he could tackle the ball only. Also, if the person tackles from the back of the other person then he will get a red card which means that he is out of the game. When the player is trying to throw the ball to his teammate, he has to keep his hands behind his back. After all the players follow the rules then they could play for the team.
The rules of play for soccer have deliberately been kept simple. The referee makes most of the decisions, and attempts to encourage fair play. The game starts off with a kick off, and the teams are allowed to pass, dribble, juggle, head, kick, and shoot the ball to place it down the field, and (hopefully, or eventually) into their opponent’s goal. If the ball is kicked off the field over the length of the field, the other team is given a throw-in, where the ball is thrown over the player’s head, and back onto the field. If the ball is kicked over the goal, or across the width of the field, either a corner kick results (by the offensive team, where the ball is placed on the corner of the field and kicked into play) or the defensive team is awarded a goal kick, where the ball is placed on the corner of the goal box, and kicked back into play. If a goal is scored, the ball is taken back to the center of

Most people think that soccer is just about kicking a ball and getting it into the goal. Although that might be the general goal of soccer, this sport requires awareness, aggressiveness, hard work, and a lot of passion. Soccer requires years of practice and dedication. Starting at a young age practicing passing, your touches on the ball, and how well you shoot the ball into the back of the net are all key and will improve how well of a player you become. Completing good passes is key to winning games.
