Question 3
To me, the ending of this book is one of the best endings I personally have ever read. My favorite part of this book is where Tuck, May, Jesse, Miles, and Winnie were setting in the kitchen of the Tucks home eating flapjacks, and the man in the yellow suit shows up at the Tucks home…
The reason for all this is because at the beginning of the book the man in the yellow shows up at the Foster's house, this is where Winnie lives, the Fosters are the richest people in the town. There name is a family name that has been in Tree Gap for as long as they can remember. The Fosters own a lot of the land around Tree Gap.
When Winnie gets kidnapped by the Tucks. The man in the yellow suit sees Winnie and the Tucks walking through the woods. He follows them back to there house, steels there horse, then heads back to the fosters house and tells them he knows where their daughters at but he ain't telling them… only under one condition, if they trade their family land , that they have had forever, for the way to their daughter. The man in the yellow suit gets the sheriff of the

I chose Mae because to me she was the not only the nicest person but my favorite person in this book. The reason why I think she is the nicest person is because she took in Winnie as if she was her own child. She fed her, gave her clothes, made sure she had a roof over her head and food in her stomach. Not only that she stood up for Winnie qw knew the man in the yellow suit came to the Tuck's house trying to take Winnie. She killed someone over somebody that she didn't even know for more than two days. That's not the only reason but that's mostly the main reason why she killed a man.
I don't really have a reason why she is my favorite character, but ever since the 4th grade when I first read this book there was ,just something about Mae that made me wants to know more about this
Throughout life, many of our journeys leave us feeling despondent and unwanted. It is when we travel with another human soul that we are not left feeling so austere. In John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, George and Lennie are two wandering souls, both very different in stature and appearance, yet very alike in spirit. It is in this relationship that the true foundation of companionship is expressed.
The Story Of Mice and Men is about two buddies that go on to find work or any kind of income. The only problem is that lennie, one of the main characters, has a mental disability. Thankfully George, the other main character also lennie’s best friend, is around to help lennie. In the story more characters come into play including a nice old man named candy who has been working on the farm for many years. Like George candy has to take care of his old dog that he raised from a pup. Unfortunately one of Candy’s so called buddies took the dog out and shot him for the dogs own good. In the end George also loses his closest pal. Through the story George and candy have some similarities and

Thank you the M-1 Marvels for allowing me to be apart of the huddle this week!
Paragraph 1 tone : He seems nervous about this trip He says ,“We’ve all been up since midnight, starting our predive checks after a couple of restless hours of sleep, and the whole team is running on adrenaline. These are the roughest conditions I’ve dived in so far on the expedition” The way he says that they’ve been up the whole night doing checks without sleep and how this is one of the roughest conditions he has dived in so far just gives the sense of nervousness if he will make the challenge.
“Still, our first impressions of the Germans were rather reassuring. The officers were billeted in private homes, even in the homes of Jews. Their attitude toward their hosts was distant, but polite. They never demanded the impossible, made no unpleasant comments, and even smiled occasionally at the mistress of the house.” (5)
Everyone has to grow up eventually, some just tend to take it better more than others, it could be the fear or gaining more responsibility or the fact that getting older means that your parents are too and with your old age comes their time to go, the fear of not being ready or prepared for what life has to offer you and you being on your own to find out
Of Mice and Men was written during a period of racism. In the 1960's it was important for everyone to get along with eachother because not everyone was equal. George and Lennie showed a great part in friendship throught the whole book. At the ranch in Selinas mostly everyone showed friendship in some way. Friendship was a great factor when the book was published because of all the racism going on at the time.
John Steinback’s Of Mice and Men is a book that describes the chase of the American Dream. Although achieving the American Dream is a great desire for all, seldom does it actually come true. George and Lennie, the two main characters in the book, have a goal of pursuing their version of the American Dream, as do many other characters. However, due to relationships and other conflicts, that dream is not achieved.
According to www.dualdiagnosis.org, in the 1930’s, “Techniques that were used on the mentally ill included insulin-induced comas, lobotomies, malarial infections, and electroshock therapy.” The novel, Of Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, describes the story of two migrant workers named George and Lennie, and their adventure during the Great Depression. Lennie is a man who is challenged with mental retardation. During the Great Depression, this was not an acceptable thing in society, so George acts as his caretaker and has to cover for Lennie. Eventually, George and Lennie find themselves working on a ranch where they meet new people and find themselves in trouble. I think that George did the right thing by killing Lennie. If George would not have killed him, Lennie would have been taken to the mental hospital and treated badly, if Lennie was killed by anyone else, George would have had regrets, and Lennie was at risk of getting himself and George into more trouble.
Of Mice And Men The novel ‘Of Mice and Men’ reveal life in the 1930’s. A time very diverse to ours. Steinback, the author of this novel wrote about various issues such as lifestyle of the travelling ranchmen, loneliness, friendship, the American dream, racism and sexism. The book is about two migrant labourers, George Milton and Lennie Small in California.
Time passed on and the family noticed something very strange. Their bodies did not age with time. Winnie Foster, however, is a wealthy man’s daughter who lives in the town of Treegap. She has never been able to
She teaches Mae Mobley how to love herself and love others without hate overcoming her pure heart and mind. What I have taken away from her relationship with Mae Mobley is that no matter what color, gender, age, or social status you are, you can love whoever you want. I also learned that unconditional love gives you the ability to give your all and unfortunately let go. Aibileen has to make this decision when she's fired. Aibileen will always love Mae Mobley, but leaving is what's best for the both of them.
Her aunt then must be an important person in her life. I predict that the aunt will continue being an important character for the rest of the book, because from what I have read she often finds herself in trouble due to poor treatment from her parents. I was surprised that her aunt treasured her report card. Her grades were
