Chapter 1
Kaden
The smell of blood hung in the air. They must have come to the village. “NOOOOOO!!” I yell as I see him on the ground blood spilling from a wound to the upper stomach. “NATHAN” I run to my friend. He looks a lot worse than I thought I pick him up and run to my house to give him stitches. I set nathan on the kitchen table, then run upstairs to get my first aid kit. When I finally get upstairs I rush for the first aid kit scrambling around looking for it, come back down stairs the cut is bleeding a lot more than before. So I grab my thread and needle. I use a lighter to burn the needle end then start giving him stitches.
After an hour i’m done, it took thirty stitches. I bring him up stairs and set him in my bed. Then I

“Why would you bring a stranger who tried to kill you into our house!”
“I don't even know it just happened. He was bleeding out and I couldn’t just leave him there… you know that I can't do that” I say. As he is still unconscious I take some of his blood for tests just in case.
I could tell he was angry at me. Just as he starts to leave, the person wakes up I can tell he is startled. “Hey Nathan he is waking up!” When nathan comes down he has a gun in his hand pointed at the guy. “Woah!
Woah! Nathan calm down!”
“NO” he replies then shoots the guy in his stomach.
“Nathan what the hell!” I scream and run at nathan and tackle him. Then run back to the guy and try to stabilize him. The most I could tell is he was losing a lot of blood way too much. He was seizing and I could not stop it I was out of stitches and could not do much else to do. I grabbed a cloth and pressed it to the wound. When I did he immediately started to seize even more. I could tell he was about to die.
“Nathan go get me more stitches” I yell and he hesitates but does anyway so I take a needle and connect it to my arm and another to a blood bag. So when the bag is half full I put the needle into his arm and let the blood flow into him. He stops having a seizure and Nathan gets down with the stitches. It seems like he is alright so I walk away and punch Nathan in his face. He falls to the floor blood falling from his
It’s a normal day at school during recess in the middle of spring; the boy begins to start a game of tag with the rest of his classmates. The kids began to form miniature games trying to figure out who will be it first. “It” is the person who has to tag the other classmates in the game. They’ve chosen their person and now it’s game time. The joy they brought amongst each other, laughing and screaming, “you’re it” to their peers. They ran, pushed and scrambled all over the playground. Then all of a sudden a boy is pushed a little too hard and he tumbles on the floor. He rolls twice on the cement scraping his knees. He looks around and his friend gives him a helping hand by pulling him up allowing him to dust his self off. He then attempts to run again and feels a breeze from the wind burning his knee. The skin has apparently been broke open. His knee is red and starting to bleed. Now his blood vessels, platelets and cells in that area are damaged causing external bleeding. He now goes into shock because he looks at his own blood and starts to cry walking back to where the
One of my most vivid memories as a child includes my twin brother, the ledge at the bottom of our fireplace, and lots of blood (at least, what seemed like a lot of blood to my young brain). We were old enough to be left at home and not cause trouble—or so my parents thought—when my accident-prone brother decided to cartwheel straight into the fireplace, using his head as the target. With blood dripping down his forehead, and multiple failed attempts to call our parents, I could see the panic in my brother’s eyes, and I knew that I had to be calm and in control of the situation. After raiding our medicine cabinet and washing off as much blood as I could, I set to work bandaging my brother’s injury. From this experience I learned two things:
Attempting to adjust his eyes to the bright white light glaring down onto him, he realizes he is in the infirmary. He has rusty staples in his arm. He assumes it was from the guards dragging him off. It is throbbing in pain, he doesn’t want to scream from the pain because he is afraid the guards will come in and kill him. If the pain or blood doesn’t first. He grabs an alcohol pad and cleans his arm. As he is scavenging around, he finds quick clot in the cabinet. He knows what he needs to do. Grabbing a gauze pad, he psychs himself up. He sits down on the metal operation chair and puts the gauze in his mouth. Grabbing the tweezers, he prepares for the pain that is about to happen. He hurriedly pulls all 5 staples out of his arm and rushes the quick clot on. The blood stops
I must have knocked the wind out of him because he fell to the ground. After he fell me and Simon started to talk about how your kidneys could burst and you would
He heard the click of a gun first, and it was hard not to laugh like that soft click was the funniest thing in the whole world. The funniest joke he’d ever heard in his entire life.
He waited for about thirty minutes before he was called by the doctor to apply stitches to the wound. The doctor says he was lucky if he had been hit a little bit higher, Derick may have lost his eye. He got fifteen stitches below his eye, Derick was devastated by the way he looked. The next day, at school everyone was looking at Derick weird like he was someone they did not recognize and for this he was a little annoyed. Derick is the type to not care what people think or say, he just does what pleases him. But this time he cared and it was making him angry. He had three weeks before he can remove the stitches. Until then Derick could not do anything but stay inside, because sweat is not good for the wound, it would sting.
I had blurred vision and a headache so I was very cautious on my way down. We got as near as I could get to the health shaleigh and Katelyn started taking my skis off. I wobbled over to their front door and walked in. I saw a nurse rush to assist me while many were sitting around another injured seventh grade girl from another school.
"Oh, no.." I whispered as I stared in horror, picking up the poor surgeon's arm. I gulped and reached in once again, retrieving a leg this time. This was the absolute worst thing that could happen right now. We had a rough 3 hour drive and the bumps on the road must have caused the amputation.
He stripped off his shirt and vest and poured water from his canteen over the gash on his side. The bullet drew a lot of blood, but it didn’t look bad. He would’ve asked Miss Collins to stitch him up, except he figured he’d riled her enough. She might enjoy seeing him in pain.
We are two minutes into the race, as I'm focused on watching Raymond as he runs towards the fence. He falls over the fence and everyone gasps. His head’s bleeding, we all stop as I run to Raymond. When he fell over the fence he hit his head, the announcers are calling 911. Me and Raymond are in the ambulance riding to the hospital, I tell him “Everything will be ok.”
It went well at first and we were having a great time as we rotated who played the role of Jason. At one point, Spencer and I were hiding from Aaron, who was playing the role of Jason at that point, and he needed me to distract Aaron by running out and circling around to where we were at. After that, I run and follow Spencer into the house. When I was circling back around, my ear hit a branch or something. I was unsure exactly what it was since it was dark, I just remember feeling a sharp pain in my ear. Despite the pain, I kept running from Jason/Aaron. I had almost reached the house when Aaron caught up to me. “Just do it.” I stated dramatically. Arron fake stabbed me and I fell to the ground. When I landed on the ground, I moved my hand up to my ear. When I looked at my hand, it was bloody. “Huh.” I said stunned and I soon began to panic as I slowly walked toward the house.
I got done smashes the guy's head in and I turn around and Drew was holding his wrist and blood was dripping from it. Drew said i'm done for it Jose, there nothing that you can do now. Drew said just shot me and I just leaned over him and as I pointed the gun at him, as pointed the gun at him I could see the tears running down his face and then he was gone. After I shot him I went to the infected person that bit him and stabbed him over and and over again until all of my anger went away. One of the guy from the guard towers came out and said that I needed to get in before anymore of those infected things
“WHAT!” There was a fox in front of me and was just a pup but he did have golden fur and was sparkling in the daylight and he keep on screaming for help. I was shocked when I looked at it and it's like it wanted me to help him and so I went over there. I was scared because a cute baby fox could still do some damage. But I did know that I still needed to help the poor thing. I grabbed some bandages from my bag which had some other stuff like neoprene and other stuff.and I lifted up the large branch and looked at the leg and
The elderly man looked at Wilson in disgust and said, “Get off my property or I'm going to call the cops.” Wilson didn’t listen to the old man and asked where Tim was. The old man then proceeded to pull out a double barrel shotgun he had sitting against the wall right next to the door. The old man pointed it at Wilson and said once again, “Get off my property.”
Indrid was glad to hear his voice. The medical officer had survived. He laughed at the fact that a man with no combat training had survived the bloodbath. Indrid lay there out of breath, bleeding from his head, ears, and lips.
