“The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” is a book written by Mark Twain, which is a sequel to “Tom Sawyer”. Most readers will find themselves laughing at different scenes from the book. It is autobiographic of a young boy in adventures along the Mississippi River. Tom Sawyer appears in this book again, but the scenes and characters are different. Everything is seen through Huck’s eyes. It is told in first person and it was a unique kind of book that was written during that period. It deals with different issues, like racism, slavery, and war, but it did not promote. It just did not skirt around the issues. Was it politically incorrect? Perhaps, yes and no. Through the years, it has been banned but it is ridiculous for people to feel that way.
The decision to ban the novel Huckleberry Finn from classrooms and libraries has been an ongoing controversy. The presence of the 'n word' and the treatment towards Jim, and other blacks in general, has made many readers uncomfortable. Despite this fact, Huckleberry Finn has been and remains a classic read. I do not believe the novel should be banned or sanitized because it is a part of American history whether it is good or bad, also we have no right to change someone's writing simply because we do not like how it is written, Mark Twain's writing should not be penalized because of the ideals of today.
Mark Twain wrote the novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. At the beginning of the novel, Huck Finn is an immature thirteen year old boy. He goes south on a river with a runaway slave, Jim, trying to leave his old life behind. During the course of the novel, Huck meets many different people who teach him very valuable lessons. Throughout the novel, Huck has changed in several different ways. There are many things that he obtained from these people that will help Huck build the foundation of the person that he will become. He learns what true friendship is, how dependable, and how to be honest.

Twain wrote his Realist period novel to criticize what he believed was wrong with the society of his time. Twain presented his novel through the eyes and speech of the twelve year-old Huckleberry Finn to show his criticism towards this society. Although the novel has been criticized since its publication, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is still considered one of the greatest American novels ever written. Twain uses Huck

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a novel based on the journey Huck, a young boy with an abusive father, and Jim, a runaway slave, have down the Mississippi River to Free states for an end goal of freedom. Freedom means different things to both of them, to Huck freedom means to be able to do what he wants and not be “sivilized”, while Jim’s definition of freedom is being able to live in peace with his wife and children. While on their journey to freedom they develop a caring unusual friendship. There is a great deal of controversy over whether or not The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn should be taught in

I sat on the prison floor and waited until the long hand would hit 12:00. I was there since 9:00 a.m, and after three hours have passed, I took a glance at the clock only to find five minutes have passed. Of course, I have no idea what prison is actually like, but I can only imagine it would feel similar to Sunday school. I attend Chua Duc Vien every Sunday, where Su Co, the head of the temple and principle of the school, would narrate heartfelt stories that taught students an impactful moral lesson, which ironically, would keep us out of prison. The stories were entertaining to the younger students, but to me and those in my class, we could not care less. Those last thirty minutes to my peers and I were nothing more than a daily chore. When

Society since 1840 has evolved but not for the better. Since 1840 society has gotten worse. Shown through language, violence, and racism.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn has been challenged by schools time and time again for its use of racial slurs and ambiguity of moral values. But it hasn’t been called a masterpiece of American literature by writers such as Ernest Hemingway and T. S. Eliot because of its use of the n-word. No, Huck Finn is considered an American classic because of its realistic portrayal of pre-Civil War America and its message to follow what you believe is morally right instead of societal norms which may not always honorable. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn should not be banned from American high schools.
There is no mystery as to why there are many American Americans in our country because of slavery. Most people know where the word n*** came from and used for and the older generations of blacks do not want to hear it because it reminds them of the pain and struggle it has behind it. Nowadays in the 21st century, young people consider it normal when it wasn´t back then, but still do with an a at the end instead of er. Huckleberry Finn received many critics of disapproval with the n word used frequently. Even though Huck does not mean to be racist and is a hero for Jim, but I agree with Huck at 100 that Huckleberry Finn is not adequate to be taught in the High School curriculum because it is a very serious topic that many highschool students are not mature enough for
There is a second argument however that states that The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn should be completely replaced with another work of literature. This advocates the idea of censorship, as stated in an article by New Haven Register, “banning books deprives of students from developing critical thinking skills”. (Banning books). Replacing The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn will prevent the potential readers from learning about racial discrimination and slavery. However, the “n-word” is still a controversial word and should not just be thrown about since there are people who can either find the word offensive, inappropriate, etc. The “N-word” has a negative connotation and is often described as racist and horrible, and to some the word is
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1884), the sequel to Tom Sawyer, is considered Twain's masterpiece. The book is the story of the title character, known as Huck, a boy who flees his father by rafting down the Mississippi River with a runaway slave, Jim. The pair's adventures show Huck (and the reader) the cruelty of which men and women are capable. Another theme of the novel is the conflict between Huck's feelings of friendship with Jim, who is one of the
