Inventions of WWII There was a lot of inventions from WWII that changed the world. One of the inventions that changed us is helicopters because they help us get around faster and easier. Another was the Gustav gun it was so large it defined how we can build guns and war machines. The last one is the Goliath it was a gas powered RC vehicle that destroyed enemy tanks, which helped people get past the enemy defense. These are some of the things that changed our world. Was the Gustav gun ever destroyed or found? The Gustav gun was never destroyed or found. Many people thought they found leftover parts from the Gustav, but the part was never used for the Gustav gun. The reason they thought it was the Gustav was that there were large muzzles scattered all around. You would think they would have destroyed they, Gustav because it used 4 railroad tracks to get around and it was 47 meters long or 155 feet. It would probably be easier today to find a 1488 ton gun, but back then you could even hide it in plain sight. The last time the Gustav was ever used in WWII was ¨outside of Warsaw in 1944 when some 30 shells were used¨ (Chanter, 2). There are many Goliaths that made it through WWII, they are displayed in museums all over the world like the ¨United States Army Ordnance Museum.¨ There were over 7,564 Goliaths made during WWII, they were only about 1 ft tall and 4ft long. They were used to destroy enemy tanks and guard stations, which helped because it carried 60 kg of explosives. It was hard at first for it to work because they used a electric motor instead of a gas power motor.
