. Many of the clients I helped seemed to not really need help they seemed to know more than me. You know how in sales and as you realize in your later years that you encounter those clients who really don’t plan on purchasing anything from you they are just interacting with you maybe because they want to have a relationship, pick your brain or they just want to feel important like they’re really going to make a purchase. Well many of the clients at the facility where I worked seem to be there because they wanted to send a message or as crazy as it sounds it was their job to be there as they were a part of something bigger possibly connected to the source of the force or invasion. 2. The second reason why I thought it was somewhat staged is because our opinions, input and or idea did not seem to truly matter. …show more content…
Like any other event there was a specific program that took place there were portions of the program such as the food committee, setup committee and the entertainment committee I was one of the ones in charge of the entertainment committee. In the beginning they informed me that I was able to come up with my own idea for the entertainment portion of the event. So I came up with something that I spent a good amount of time on. When I submitted what I had created to the people in charge they seemed to approve of it at the time but when we got closer to the event they informed me that we could not use that instead we had to create something
Previous experiences as a staff member: Sadly, I have never had the opportunity to be on a
Daniel emphasized how strict the entertainment departments budget were that I caused them to go over budget by not taking breaks and that from there on out I would be getting scheduled 28 hours a week. David changed my time sheet and added breaks on days that I did not take breaks. Daniel also stated that by the time I had replied to Davids missed time punch text that the time sheet was already sent in. I asked Daniel how this could be corrected and he told me he would have to check with HR but that I could just not clock out for 3 days. Daniel also asked me I meant by "I was doing lead work". I replied by telling him I lead my staff, performed closing lead duties; such as End of Day report, contacting guest services, reporting directly to
Have you ever felt unappreciated in a job? Do you feel on edge that at any given moment you could be replaced? Or has someone you are supposed to trust to put down your efforts? An effective leader should make sure you aren't left wondering these questions. I have worked in the special education department at a high school for three years under the guidance of the principal. During that time I have not been told that I am doing a good job or given any recognition. I am not alone because the majority of the department share the same feelings. Instead of mentoring us into the type of employees he desires he makes these negative comments. With no justification, since he rarely takes time to visit our classrooms, he has called us a “toxic department” and has repeatedly said “we should just start with a clean slate”. In the beginning I tried to approach him however, he
For the summer of 2015, I enrolled as a student in University of Maryland University College (UMUC) to start the journey of earning a bachelor's degree in Cyber Security. For the starting course requirements, Writing 101s was one of the three classes I had picked to begin with. When I first started off in this course, I considered my writing skills poor, with unorganized paragraphing and horrible grammar skills. Now, I am able to write great with more organized essays, proper sentence structures, and also gained researching skills for future research projects or assignments. This course has dramatically increased my confidence in writing and I feel that I am able to write at college level and not middle or high school.
In 2011 I decided upon a career change away from a fast paced sales environment and towards my ambition of becoming a teacher. Since leaving school in 1997 I worked for a small family run architectural hardware company. In my final role with the company my main duties included travelling the country giving seminars to architects and building contractors. It was during the development and delivery of these seminars that I realised I had a passion for teaching. The development of my industry based presentations was thorough and took into account the differing abilities and background of my audience. With constantly shifting standards and regulations, Power Point presentations to create for each session and handouts for the individuals in attendance
In the year 2013, I started being my dad’s personal assistant for his own company. This has provided me with leadership skills. It has also helped me solved disputes between the owner and the clients. I listen to what the clients want and I try to help the owner and them come to an agreement about what has to be done. Especially doing everything in a good manner so the client is sacrifice with what they are getting. It is good to help solve the disputes that way the client knows that what they are getting is good quality material. Since he does not speak very fluent english I go with him to meet the clients whenever they ask for a translator. The first couple of times I went with him were very difficult for me because I was a very shy person.
A computer company has had a recent increase in workers, but they have very little workspace available. The company has about one hundred seventy-five workers with an age range of thirty to sixty-five years old. The head of the company has decided that the best solution for providing workspace for employees is to have half of the employees work from home on their own computers. Employees will be given a certain amount of work each day that they will be required to finish at home. The company will also check-up on employees’ progress every week through video chat or phone call.
To begin with, part of my job is to write or compose programming code which is systematically on it's own. Provided that, as part of the team conducted the measurement. The project that I can think of as the most broad case where we applied a scientific method throughout the organization was the search for proper and efficient solution to handle incoming support request sent to the IT department. Prior to implementing the ticketing system, IT support request are posted via email through an email group that includes all members of the IT department. This has been the standard procedure for years, it has worked well and preferred by many staff. That said, our organization has hired several employees, redefined departments and increase individual
This week’s lesson in forum 1 each onlinemate was to submit a thread in response to 5 questions after reading chapters 1 thru 3, plus show how a biblical worldview be applied. Also, according to the grading rubric for week 2 we are told to reply to 2 classmates’ threads. One of the thread I have chosen to give a reply to is Bernice Flores. The response to this forum will be based on 2.08 Discussion in the Publication manual of the American psychological association (APA), sixth edition (2013, p.35) and two premises on which sampling theory is based; the characteristics of accuracy and precision for measuring validity (Cooper & Schindler, 2014).
The floor wasn't hot relatively, so I slept with the window closed. I woke up an hour before the alarm, but I fell asleep right ahead.
On July 1, 2015 I purchased a large drink, a small fry, and a cheeseburger with no onions. It was around 8pm there wasn’t very many workers there at the time. I explained to the cashier the reason why I did not want any onions. I was being nice and it seemed like she was concerned. At the same time she looked as if she was upset.
C. Padmore discussed “Teamwork” was discussed amongst staff. Staff was given a handout on “Teamwork” Staff also offered up a few examples of teamwork.
As a student of Memphis, I think that equality should be present now than it ever was in the past. But still, to this day, our economy has not been promoted into becoming equal. With some difficulties, we accomplished our tasks. As a group, we chose an answer. That is the 500k should be divided equally by 50k each. Although my group decided to split the budget equally. I, however, think that the budget should be split in a ranking of the most important job to least important. That meaning the important job gains more money than the least important. As an individual, I would distribute the budget to 3 qualities. The reason being a job qualification, skills, and the economic system which all play a role in society.
Hi, Zack here. I am a member of the management team for our group, Modelty. The first thing our team can do to ensure success before submitting our next draft is get together more frequently. We found a way to execute the first task profiently, but I feel we could go above and beyond with more frqunt meetings. The second thing we could do better as a group is have more fun while working on the plans. Rather then seeing these assinments as chores we could approach the task at hand as if we are partaking in a hobby with friends. If we are having fun whlile completing the task I believe our team will show improvement dramatically. The third thing we could look into is reading off our plans to eachother before submitting. Then we can ensure we are all on the same page.
Because of my experiences at a government for six years, I am quite familiar with ins and out of legislation process, and few attorneys have such experience. With this background, I can attract clients strongly by differentiating myself from competitors.
