After contemplating the purpose of a memoir several things came to mind. I believe it can serve to be cathartic for the writer as they can be set free by working through certain events in their life. Furthermore, and perhaps more importantly, I think a memoir can serve as a way to for the writer to tell their story in a vivid way that allows the readers to feel like they are living the experience and perhaps to learn a valuable lesson from their story. Therefore, I chose to analyze two memoirs they were Superman and Me by Sherman Alexie and “Salvation” by Langston Hughes. I concentrated on trying to determine the purpose of each piece in order to indicate what pivotal aspects were employed that either helped or hindered them in achieving that purpose.

Often times while working in the critical care unit I am faced with similar situations like the example in Exercise 1-1. At first I take the leader role; the leader will assess the situation and create a plan to implement for others to follow with little to no harm or risk (Yoder-Wise, 2014). It is during this time that I locate the person in the family and “assign” a person of contact/point of contact for the family. All calls made to the unit in regards to the patient’s condition are deferred to the point of contact person. In the manager role; which is defined as a role in which a process of following a set of practices and procedures have been tested with proven outcomes that satisfy everyone’s needs (Yoder-Wise, 2014).

I personally love the fact that OSHA is in place. I want to go home in the same way I came to work. I want to go to work knowing that my employer is making it safe and all precautions to keep me from getting a infectious disease are in place. Knowing there are standards that has to be followed and that the employer must provide the proper PPE for me to perform my job safely is a great reassurance for me. If we did not have OSHA in place the world would not be safe. OSHA helps prevent the spread of diseases and helps keep people safe. People wouldn't want to work around places that wasn't made to be safe. If they didn't have to follow rules some places might cut corners and cause problems .

As mentioned by Calloway in the beginning of the “Documents” section, it is important to consider that historians often disregard stories due to their lack of understanding and that these stories can provide insight into the lives of individuals who lived through certain times in history. As pointed out by Leslie Marmon Silko, origin stories should not be taken as fact. I think that viewpoint supports the idea of possible migrations.

My grandmother retired at the age of 65. She was the type of worker that never called off for anything. She would go into work at Graphic Packaging everyday, even if she was sick. In October of 2014, she was diagnosed with lung cancer. The doctors said that it was caught early and that it could be treated. So she went through sessions of radiation and chemotherapy. 2 years later in May, and lots of treatments later, she was in remission and I applied for a job at Tractor Supply. I went here with my grandmother all the time, so this had been my dream job forever. She was so proud of me for applying for my first job at a place that I had a passion for. I went in for an interview and the manager told me that they would contact me sometime within the next week letting me know what they had decided.

There are many reasons a person could choose to stop therapy and stop attending sessions. However, I would be concerned about Jan like I would be with all my clients. It would be nice and considerate for Jan to at least answer or return your phone call to let you know she is oaky. Jan could have become worse or even started feeling better, we cannot say with not information or evidence to back the theories up. I would contact someone on her medical chart to check on her and to see if she is okay. I would not revile any information just ask if she could please return my phone call. I would also send Jan out a letter expressing I am thinking about her and care about her and her well being. Maybe this will make Jan interact with me once again.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at approximately 2058 hours, I responded to Intown Suites, 1125 Northlake Drive, room 227, for a welfare check. Conyers Commutation advised me that Monica Cannon attempted to call her husband, Daniel Rooks, and could not make contact with him. Cannon stated Rooks was released recently from a rehab center and she was concerned.

When starting to look at secondary data for my computer and software business, the first option would be to look at the Census Bureau to see the demographics of the area. I’d want to research the potential customer base in depth. Is there a part of town where there are people with an income bracket that would allow for more than one computer in the home? Typically, customers will make additional purchases of items, like computers, from the same store that they purchased the first one from, if they had a positive experience.

I have made a lot of deliberate decisions and intentional choices while writing this memoir. While writing this memoir I recalled a lot of memories from an incident that happened to me on Virginia Beach in Chesapeake, Virginia. An incident that changed me forever, changed my feelings every time I pass by or go to any beach. It was three years ago when a friend of mine died drowning while we were on a boat. During the memoir I chose to be more implicit than explicit by giving enough details about the event that happened not just telling the reader. I have maintained to keep the essay more open and understandable to the reader.

A memoir is supposed to be about a specific event in your life that has happened, since I’m still very young I have not had the opportunity to experience many things in my short span of life. There is only a few things that stick out, but the one that sticks out like a sore thumb was about a passing of a family member. This person was very honest, gave good life advice, and always knew what to say and made you feel better if you were down. My great-grandma was one of the most important people in my life that helped mold me into the girl I am today.
