Human Activities Have A Impact On Climate Change

The climate of earth has been increasing for past decade. The increasing temperature is not only harmful for environment but also dangerous for earth and peoples' survival. However, many international societies and groups have been putting their efforts to keep the atmosphare balanced, they are not enough. I believe people are the main cause of pollutions, destroy forests, and natural habitat. Therefore, atmosphare has been changing drastically.

We ask ourselves how might human activities have affected global climate change? Well human activities contribute to climate by causing changes in earth's atmosphere in the amounts of greenhouse gases and cloudiness. Mostly it is burning fossil fuels. This releases carbon dioxide gas to the atmosphere. There are many ways that the humans can affect our environment. Deforestation, burning fossil fuels, and hydrocarbons are ways this can affect. In this paper i will explain how each one contributes to global warming. I will support my discussion with evidence and consequences of the effects of each activity. It will also have alternate energy and solutions included that are most sustainable in our area.

Throughout the middle of the twentieth century, until now, there has been debate over the existence of climate change. Climate change is the increase of earth’s inclusive temperature of the atmosphere, and the side effects caused by rising temperatures. Climate change is caused by many reasons: burning of fossil fuels, agriculture, landfills, and deforestation. Climate change is mainly caused by greenhouse gases and humans. The effects of climate change are detrimental to earth; the effects have lead to stronger and more intense hurricanes, a rise in temperature, and the melting of glaciers(“Global Climate Change: Effects”).

A major product that we burn has become fossil fuel which becomes carbon dioxide that is released into the atmosphere. Such fossil fuels have been linked to Global Warming which refers to an increase in temperature through the atmosphere changing climate patters all over the world. The climate is also affected by ocean circulation, earth’s orbit around the sun, participation, and wind etc… Scientists predict that in the future polar temperatures will rise causing polar ice caps and will rise even higher in others parts of the world.

The human race all around the world wonders if the climate is changing due to human activity or if it is just a natural occurrence. At certain parts of the Earth's surface, the climate can be observed much differently than other locations. As the years go by the average temperature of the Earth increases by little intervals. There are several different reasons why people believe the climate is changing every year. However, the increase of worldwide population and production of heat to the atmosphere is due to the increase of human activities that take place on a daily basis. Human activity is the main cause of the global climate change. The human impact on climate exceeds any known changes due to natural processes. The impact of this human activity is often misunderstood when looking at climate change.

According to scientists the burning of fossil fuels is the main source for the large amounts of pollutants humans are creating. Fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas produce large amounts of carbon when burned to create energy that we all use. Many people think that the burning of these fossil fuels is not that big of a deal and there are other major contributors in the climate change controversy. The burning of these resources produce thousands of tons of carbon that are released into the atmosphere everyday Most everyone in the United States uses some source of energy produced from fossil fuels. Without the fossil fuels the major cities would not have enough energy to keep everything going. While they are working on increasing the amount of renewable energy sources, they are still dependent on the fossil fuels. Scientists are trying to link human pollution to the extreme weather changes that have been going on in recent years. How might human activities have affected global climate changes? Well in this essay i am going to explain the different things that might affect the global climate . Like deforestation , burning fossil fuels , and the use of hydrocarbons . Then I will give evidence of the changes and all of the different changes . After I give the evidence I will type a paragraph about the different solutions to try and fix the affects that the changes have caused to the global climate . Then I will give a conclusion of everything that was stated in the essay and also all of the things that can help us fix the changes .

Most of the blame for climate change over the years especially after the 1850’s has been placed on humans. As long as modern humans have roamed the earth, they have been upsetting the natural balance of the earth. People have did this by clearing areas of land, killing animals, polluting water, etc. Before the “modern human”, people like the Native Americans cared for the earth. They respected the land and the people that cared for it. Unfortunately, people don’t care anymore. Until recently, people did not care for the earth. People did not realize the harm they were causing it. Now we know how detrimental things are that we continue to do and used to do.

The biggest problem with climate change today is the debate on whether or not human activity is responsible for our current warming trend. According to Jonathon Schuldt (2014:219), around 99.7% of climatologists agree that man-made climate change is a reality, while only 40% of Americans believe that humans are the main driver. This is because we live in societies in which, thanks largely to the internet, everyone is free to express an opinion. On the issue of climate change, we have tons of sites saying one thing, as well as tons of sites saying something the complete opposite. According to Schuldt (2014:224), politicians, the media, and the public have hijacked the global warming debate. The big problem with these groups trying to control the debate is that they do not think in a scientific way like climatologists. According to Schuldt (2014:222), there is clear evidence that the polar icecaps are continuing to melt and the arctic ice is disappearing, but still people deny global warming is occurring. This has led to the science of global warming being thrown out of the window and according to Mazo (2014:47), has slowed the momentum of national and international efforts to prevent climate change, to the point where it will be politically impossible to succeed.

Natural atmospheric greenhouse gases, which predominantly consist of water vapor, and minor parts of carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane, are vital in balancing Earth’s surface temperature to a life-sustaining average. Indubitable, global warming and cooling has occurred naturally; however, data indicates that the sun’s energy distribution has virtually been constant within the past century. Furthermore, evidence indicates that the balance in greenhouse gases has been compromised by a rapidly expanding human population and their activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels over the past fifty years. The effects of humanity’s blissfulness can lead to extreme climate changes in the near future, which does not exclusively threatens our livelihood; however, the existence of all Earth’s inhabitants.

Anthropogenic climate chance can simply be translated to climate change caused by humans. The difference between natural and human inflicted climate change is obvious to common man. 800,000 years ago we were not experiencing the modern problems we are facing. There is plenty of evidence to prove that this is not some made up theory. Observations continue to show the average rising of the global air and ocean temperatures. Not only the temperatures contribute, but the melting of snow and ice is climbing globally. 2005 and 2010 were two of the warmest years in this century, however the most noticeable warmings have taken place in Alaska and the West. Along with those places, the warming is having a dramatic impact of the polar regions as well. Both Greenland and Antarctica ice sheets have lost huge amounts of ice.
