The human body has many systems the work together to help us stay alive and functioning. Body systems are the group of functions that work together to perform a task. There are 11 body systems in all. These include the skeletal, circulatory, excretory, reproductive and the digestive system. Each of these have a function to keep us working. Some example are the circulatory system helps filter out the blood, the skeletal helps us keep our form, and the excretory helps take the waste from the cells. All of these systems work together to keep our body working and functioning. Most body systems work together in pairs. The skeletal and the muscular work together to support our body. The urinary and the digestive systems work together by the urinary cleans the blood of waste products produced by the digestive system. Some of the body systems help us react, get waste out of our body, help us breathe, and even support our bodies. The three bodies systems I chose to write about were the nervous, digestive, and the skeletal systems. The nervous system is a collection of nerves and specialized cells known as neurons that transmit signals between different parts of the body. The nervous system is in almost every part of your body telling you what to do. There are four types of nerves in the nervous system. There is the cervical nerves, thoracic nerves, lumbar nerves, and the sacral nerves. The cervical nerves are in the neck and the legs. The thoracic nerves are in your
The nervous system is one of the body’s complex functions that contain a network of cells and nerves that transmit signals from the brain and spinal cord to different areas of the body. It is categorized into two groups; the central nervous system which is made up of the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system which contains the body’s nervous tissue and is where neurologic responses occur. Homeostasis, which is the process in which thermoregulation is maintained, also happens in this area.
There are many kinds of body systems, working together to create a functioning body. Different body systems work with certain body systems, but all work together. Like, nervous system and muscular system, circulatory system and respiratory system, and so on.
The digestive, cardiovascular and respiratory system are all interrelated in order to make the human body work effectively and efficiently. The cardiovascular system and the respiratory work together by performing gas exchange which is passing of oxygen from the alveoli into the blood flow and then the carbon dioxide passes trough the blood flow and is breathed out from the body. If gas exchange didn’t take place then it will result in the cells dying. There are many other body systems that interrelate with each other e.g. the nervous system is interrelated with the muscular system.
The nervous system is made up of basic units called neurons. The main role of the neurons is to receive, integrate and transmit information throughout the body. There are some neuroglial cells found in nervous system aswell which provide support to the neurons by giving protection and nourishment Neurons have nerve processes that looks like finger like projections extended from the nerve cell body. They also contain axons and dendrites which enable them to transmit signals throughout the body. Normally, axon carry signals away from the cell body and dendrites carry signals toward the cell body according to Regina Bailey (2013). Neurons have three different shapes: bipolar, unipolar and multipolar where bipolar has two neuronal processes coming out of the cell body, unipolar has only one neuronal process coming out of the cell body and multipolar has many neuronal processes coming out of the cell body.

The components of the nervous system that are involved in the physical sensation is the peripheral nervous system, which is divided into two groups they are, sensory and motor divisions. The sensory impulse moves through the body by stimulating a receptor in the skin, and it goes through the sensory neurons and also travels through the afferent fibers, the spinal cord and also into the brain.

The circulatory system and the respiratory system work closely together to ensure that organ tissues and systems receive enough oxygen. Oxygen is required for cellular functions such as cell respiration. This is so the body’s organs and cells can work at fully; it is done by releasing chemical energy with in stored foods. The air breathed in and held in the lungs is transferred to the blood. The blood is circulated by the heart, which pumps the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the body organs and returns with deoxygenated blood.
Even though the systems may seem very separate in their activities the digestive system and respiratory system both contribute to work together. The systems cannot work by themselves as they both provide the materials needed throughout the body. They supply energy to all the cells throughout the body. The respiratory system and digestive system allow each other to function.
The three systems in our body that work together are cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive systems which supply energy to the cells of the body. I will be describing their role of energy in the body system; also I am going to explain the physiology of the three named body systems in relation to energy metabolism.

They all work together in harmony and unison to keep us alive.
Even though the brain is the major control center if the body, its job would not be possible without the spinal cord. The spinal cord is the major organ that helps information travel between the body and the brain. Nerves branch in the peripheral system from, either the brain stem or spinal cord, each nerve attaches to a specific area of the torso and limbs it 's responsible for communication to and from those regions.
