Human cloning is the creation of genetically identical or modified copy of a human. Human

cloning is the reproduction of human cells and tissue. The possibility of human cloning has

raised complications. These ethical concerns have provoked several nations to pass laws

regarding human cloning and its legality. The common types of cloning is Gene cloning,

reproductive cloning, and therapeutic cloning. Gene cloning is the process in which a gene is

located and copied out of DNA extracted from an organism. Reproductive cloning is the

production of a genetic duplicate of an existing organism and Therapeutic cloning involves

creating copies of cells, which Humans can benefit from, e.g. organs.

Scientist chose to clone a sheep which sparked a Human Cloning Era in 1966. The creation of

Dolly the Sheep. Dolly was cloned through somatic cell nuclear transfer. Which was made

possible by removing the nucleus from a skin or other cell, in Dolly’s case a mammary gland

cell. The nucleus was then inserted into an egg which nucleus was removed. That engineered

egg was stimulated then became successful in Dolly’s circumstance. This procedure resulted

the embryo coming into being an asexual reproduction. On January 2008, Dr. Andrew French

and Samuel Wood of the biotechnology company Stemagen, announced that they successfully

created the first five mature human embryos using Somatic cell nuclear transfer. This was

done in a process where each embryo was created
