Hello, everybody! Merry Christmas! Mele Kalikimaka! Happy New Year! Happy Hanukkah! We just want to -- hope you guys are having a great holiday. And it is wonderful to see all of you.
This is one of our favorite things to do every single year, because not only are we in Hawaii for Christmas, but we’re also able to say thank you on behalf of the American people. So many families here are serving tirelessly. And it’s not just those in uniform who serve, it’s also the spouses, the kids. There are times where you’re missing birthdays, missing soccer games, making sacrifices.
As we know, when you’re deployed overseas, it’s tough. And even though we’ve been able to reduce the number of folks who are deployed in places like Iraq and Afghanistan, there are still folks over there every single day. And it’s still dangerous, as we saw this past week, where we had some outstanding, brave men and women who were killed.
And so we never take for granted what all of you do for the American people. You help keep us free. You help keep us strong. And whatever service you’re in, whatever branch, we are extraordinarily grateful for everything that you do every single day. And we hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas.
For those of you who are with your families, that is a true blessing. For those of you who are still a little

To Colonel Killeen and the rest of the commanding officers here, thank you for doing such an extraordinary job. And thank you for welcoming us as well. The only problem I’ve got when I’m here is having to work out with Marines in the gym. (Laughter.) Because I generally feel like your Commander-in-Chief is in pretty good shape, and then I get next to some guy curling 100 pounds and it makes me feel small. (Laughter.) But that’s okay. It gives me some inspiration. I’m going to work harder so I can keep up with you next year, all
disaster has taken your precious son not only from the military but also from his dearest
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your many years of service. I truly appreciate the stands you have taken to uphold the values that have made this country and state such a wonderful place to raise a family.
I would like to thank you for the time that you have sacrificed. I am so very grateful for the hours and hours of dedication you have put forth. Your constant bravery and courage shows the type of person that you chose to be. I couldn't be more appreciative that you are willing to risk your life for others. Not many people are willing to stand up and fight for our freedom but you did and I am very thankful for that. You served for my freedom to live a free and enjoyable life. I hope that you have had one of the best days today, at the Washington D.C. memorial. Thank you for stepping forward when no one else would.
Thank you for serving. I can not tell how glad I am that you served in either the Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, or the Coast Guard. From any of the wars, WWI,WWII,The Korean War, Persian Gulf War, The War On Terrorism (Afghanistan), the Iraq War, and the Texas Revolution. Thank you for serving. I cannot say how thankful I am that you made the ultimate sacrifice. I have no idea what you have been through in war. I am so grateful that you fought so we could celebrate veterans day, memorial day and all other holidays that only the U.S celebrates.
Despite the fact that only one day of the year is dedicated solely to honoring our veterans, our heroes,. I just want to say thank you for the sacrifices you and your families are making. For putting your lives on the line to protect the freedoms that we enjoy and for dedicating your lives to our country. Every veteran deserves to be recognized for their
Not many people would withstand having to go off to war knowing their life was on the line. There is much respect and gratitude inclined towards those who did and sacrificed everything they had. Our cordially veterans - the ones who fought and endured the bestial wars, the ones who knew they could fall at any moment, the ones who, despite the horror and fear
Everything our country has to be thankful for is because of you. You fight for our rights, for our freedom. You are the foundation of our country. People may forget how privileged they are. They forget you risk your life. There is not many places in the world where men and women who they have never met will fight, with their lives, to grant the rights for the people. They forget what America stands for. They forget why American is so great. They forget that not many other people in the world have that privilege to birth given rights . You protect and defend Americans' freedom and way of life. You have fought for our country, veterans and flag. You risk your time. The time you get to spend with your family, so we are able to spend it with
I must say that I appreciate your service and welcome you home, and I am
In this morning's parade people stood-up and applauded everyone in uniform, and this one child about 7-years old stood-up and yelled out Mommy look, its Air Force people and then saluted Colonel Hund our commander, it brought tears to my
A thank you is owed to the Sons of Liberty for the sacrifices they gave for the sake of the American citizens and their daily freedoms. They gave up their liberty to walk down the street without having to constantly look over their shoulder to make sure there were no British soldiers in sight. Rather than just staying in the shadows, they all showed their faces. To prove that they would not buckle under pressure, they wrote a list of every member’s name. Like most everyday hero, these members never backed away from a battle.
The American veterans did a lot for us. If it wasn’t for them we wouldn't be able to do the things we want to do. So appreciate those who serve for us. Think of this as a gift. If you open a gift you are happy. Just like when the Veterans serve for us we are happy. Also when you open the gift you are thankful. Just like when you found out the Veterans served for us you were thankful.
Our veterans are extremely courageous, they sacrifice themselves and their lives because they know how many people they’d be protecting and helping. They knew the risks of their living, but they did it anyway for their loved ones, for all of America, and for honor. Veterans are all heroes and all are thanked by the people of America on this special day. These wonderful people all have undying determination, they always accept their responsibility with integrity. These heroes ambitiously fought with compassion, eager to protect America.
As we look forward to a long Memorial Day weekend, may we take time to appreciate the sacrifices given and remember those who have fallen in service to our
Someone in your family has probably served our country in some capacity. Whether it was a grandfather, father, mother, sister brother, someone you know has or did there service for our country. For their sacrifice and for those that gave of themselves for our great country I thank you for their lives and their ultimate gift it was unselfish and I am greatful. I personally am speaking about my grandfather on my mothers side who fought in World War II and Koreaa, and for my grandfather on my fathers side who was a pilot who flew in World War II, Korea and Vietnam, and I am also speaking for my grandfather on my step fathers side who served on a sub that got sunk, who escaped narrowly only to become a P.O.W. for two years.. It was a miracle that they all returned home, and when they did, they probably celebrated with rejoicing with their families, a picnic, and a cold beer. On their behalf have a cold beer for those who have fallen in memory and honor of them, just make sure that its a true American beer, and not America beer.
From my wife (Nicole) and I; we extend our warmest wishes to all Marines / Civilians Marines and their families for a joyous holiday season. For the past year the Marines in Combat Development Company and the Battalion Nucleus have been our extended family and for that we are forever grateful. As we all embark on the festive holiday remember to "Protect What You've Earned". Celebrate responsibly most importantly be safe. Sometimes the best gift we can give our families, friends, and fellow Marines is the gift of safe arrivals and returns. Leaders remain engaged and know your Marines' Holiday plans. I ask each of you to reflect on the commitment and pride that comes with the Title "Marine". Your dedicated to service, to our
