I am not one to limit myself of one standard belief. I believe that anybody could offer their opinion and change my whole mind set on an issue. Therefore, there needs to be a party that accepts change and new and fresh opinions on certain issues. My party name will relate with the definition of having multiple opinions on one or more subjects and develop in different directions, divergence. The beliefs that my party holds are subject to change due to the opinions and ideas of others. This party’s ideas and beliefs can change over time. This is what makes my party so significantly different as the views of the people will be different but the decisions will be compromises. The views of my party are not set in stone because greater ideas can shape my party in a different direction, but the purpose of my party is to reach the people who have multiple opinions and ideas that will help keep America strong, liberated, and great with a compromise. The political beliefs behind the party Divergent may be considered contradicting, but will have a set of rules behind each issue. For example, the issue and beliefs on abortion. Women should have the choice based only on the situation of rape. The woman did not choose to become raped she has the choice to not have the child, however they will still be pushed to have the baby and will be given options for after the child is born but the sole decision is up to the women. People do not understand the amount of traumatic stress a rape can
The Democratic Party is one of two major political parties in the United States. I associate myself as a Democrat for the reason of their liberal views. The Democratic Party tends to be more liberal and support the views like same sex marriage, immigration, and social and economic equality. Many of the views the party stands for and beliefs tie to my beliefs. Some of the key priorities of the Democratic Party are the Economy, Poverty and Homelessness, Education, Healthcare Policy, Social Security and Medicare, Immigration, and Gun Policy.
There are two main political parties you can choose from in the United States, The Democrats and the Republicans. There are also third parties you can choose from. People can choose to be part of any party. We are divided by the left and right side on the political spectrum. The right are more conservative and the left are more liberal. These two political parties show philosophical differences through their viewpoints on major topics. With so many differences between the parties, finding topics or issues upon which constituents agree on can be difficult.
differences between their parties and policies. Although there are similarities between the parties, they tend to be overshadowed by individual party ideologies. With so many fundamental differences between the parties, finding topics or issues upon which constituents agree upon can at times be somewhat difficult. Although there are chasms between the voting practices of the parties, there are also some fundamental similarities as well.
George Washington warned us about the threat of political parties in his farewell speech. Only four years later political parties were apart of the election. These two parties were the Federalists and Democratic-Republicans. There are many views that they shared, but also lots of issues they disagree on. For example both parties supported the French Revolution, but only to a certain degree.
Views between the two major parties of government in the United States have many differences and few similarities. The Republican side of government tends to be more conservative and more for the people’s freedoms. They also support government intervention only when necessary. The Democratic side of government tends to be more liberal and support heavy government intervention. Views between abortion, gay marriage, and many other controversial topics differ greatly between the Democratic and Republican Party.
Disagreement is an inevitable part of life, however, after the creation of political parties in America, politicians took it to a whole new level. The two major parties, the federalists, and the anti-federalists (Democratic republicans) had such varying views on things such as foreign policy that they could hardly work together. Many of the disagreements between the parties can be attributed to Thomas
For many years since 1879 citizens of the United States wait in line to vote for the next great president who will help the country stand tall for another four years. But the mistake doesn’t lie in who you vote for, but what you are voting for and supporting. We sometimes ask ourselves, “what does each party do?” or “what are their beliefs for our country?”
Divergence of idea There are some instances in which my ideas diverge with the party. For instance, my idea diverges with the idea of republican concerning protect the district through providing support to all the legislation which remands abortion authorities. This is contrary to my process of protecting the district as it is through controlling the processes of migration in and out of the districts. On the other hand, my ideas converge with the idea of the Democrats in that they will grant freedom to the citizen through ensuring that the national government does not interfere with the people private lives and
were to be from the same party, their way of thinking may not be the same or their policy
Government has been a paramount piece of the United States’s development after July 4, 1776. The role of government has been pivotal to the process of how America operates today. Government is an important part of America’s society because it protects individual rights of people. Government is a forever changing entity because it is a necessity to satisfy the people’s demands. As a political party, Democrats and Republicans have many views on different topics in America. Although the Democrats and Republicans may have different stances on modern issues in America, many of these politicians seem to have the same attitude toward changing policies on these issues/government. I believe that the democratic party is more appropriate party to represent the United States because of their philosophy. The traditional values of America needs to be altered and the democratic party represents the change that America needs. The democratic party best represents an ever-changing society by exemplifying the desires of the citizens as is apparent in their policies in regards to abortion, gun control, and same-sex marriage.
In the United States we are divided by the left and right side on the political spectrum; even further divided into political parties such as Republicans, on the right, and Democrats, on the left side. These two political parties show philosophical differences through their viewpoints on major topics such as the economy, separation of church and state, abortion, and gun control.
The party platforms between democrats and republicans has always caused contention among them. Their values and beliefs is what sets them apart. Many argue that one party goes either too far to the left or too far to the right with viewpoints of governing. Platforms are very important when it comes to governing a country. Depending on what a candidate belief system the country will reap destruction or prosperity as result of whoever in charge.
A very important topic that is discussed and shown in this section is doublethink- which seems like a phrase in which we would think twice before saying something; however, the meaning is completely different. This leads to my first question: 1) What do you think is “doublethink”? How do you think it is important for control in the Party? • Doublethink seems like a phrase in which we would think twice before saying something, but “Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.”
When it came to domestic issues the primary two parties agreed and disagreed on many things such as when it came to induvial rights. They both took many different stances on the issues whether it was gun control, abortion and racial judgment in the criminal justice system.
Growing up in a very conservative household within an increasingly liberal society, I've had difficulty identifying my own political beliefs. I’ve been taught to pick a side: the left or right. That mindset has always left me torn and confused, but I have discovered that I don’t want to choose. I am a moderate. For me, politics is about my own values and my own ideologies, not whether my values are specifically conservative or liberal. I have a more liberal view on issues such as same-sex marriage, the death penalty, and abortion. And I have more conservative views on taxes, the free market system, and welfare. What I believe should not be swayed by trying to affiliate myself with a particular political party. I don’t fit perfectly into the
