Even with the research done, I could not give you a clear answer in which area I would like in social work. I know I want to work somewhere that deals with kids, but not family and children's services. I want to help kids and care for them and provide safety and security to them. I absolutely adore kids because they are our future. I could write a book about this but it still want give you my clear answer in what I want to do.
Why I want to work with kids, because they so smart, kind, and an important. There so many kids in the system that people have given up on them. They want to them to see that there some people out there that care and did not forget about them. If I do choose working with, family and children's services I want to help
I enjoy working with groups, families and one on one. My future is very clear to me working in a school environment, treatment centre, advocating for accessibility, human rights, and inclusion for everyone all of these pieces I would be thrilled for these to be part of my job. Also, I envision animals be incorporated in my practice in some way. My primary focus is and always will be the individuals that I support every skill and talent for me has always come from my heart. That’s how I need to work as a professional.
I like to work with young children and I have skills that make me suitable for this type of work. Also, I gained experience of working with children in different places. Nowadays, many children engage in different types of activates to have some kind of support and self-confidence for themselves. However, that will be good for their development and personality. I love working with the children
I’m excited for this opportunity to further my education. Especially, in the field of social work. In this paper, I will address my motivation for graduate studies and entering the social work profession. The four themes of the Abilene Christian University School of Social Work (evidence-based practice, God’s gift of diversity, faith and social work, and social justice) will be addressed. The focus of this paper is to explain why I chose social work as my profession.
With my criminal justice degree I want to be a social worker. I always wanted to work with teenagers and younger children to help improve their lifestyles. Growing up I’ve watched many of my friends make the wrong decisions. I hoped to help them but I couldn’t. Now getting other I would be able to understand the youth and all the challenges they face today. As a social worker I would work with the youth to improve their lifestyles and lead them to success. They would always have someone like me to
I believe social work is the right career for me for the reason that I enjoy providing my time to helping others. I have always been a listening ear for friends, as well dedicated volunteer in community service. I am always willing to help where help is needed, whereas social work is based on providing helpful services in a time of need, which is why I see myself as very fitting for the social work program.
I have not always known that I wanted to become a social worker. As a little girl I was never the child who could answer the question “what do you want to be when you grow up?” I did not want to be a doctor, a lawyer, or a movie star; I only knew that I wanted to help people around the world. This desire to help others continued through middle school and high school, but through my babysitting I realized that I wanted to specifically help children. I contemplated becoming a teacher, a guidance counselor or any other profession that worked closely with children, but none of those professions seemed like a good match.
One thing that I have always been certain of when it comes to my future is that I want to inspire, help, and have a positive impact on as much people as possible. I want to fight for those that have no voice and create any necessary social change in my community. The field of social work would help me accomplish that. Social work is a broad field where I would be able to work with various populations of people throughout the community ranging from children to the elderly. I believe that by pursuing a master’s degree in social work I will have a sense of deep satisfaction knowing that I will be prepared to face any obstacle in my future as a social worker. I am aware that social work can be challenging but knowing that I will be able to advocate for others that are helpless and fight for social justice will be very rewarding. I first became interested in social work seven years ago, after my aunt and her husband decided to become foster parents, I would help my aunt take care of the children, and they were all very sweet kids that I will never forget. My aunt and her husband were given the opportunity to adopt a 5-year-old girl and shortly after were able to adopt her newborn sister. It was a very joyous day for our family when the adoption was finalized. During that time I met their social worker, she was a very kind and knowledgeable woman that inspired me to pursue a career in social work. I admired how passionate she was about her job and how much she enjoyed making an
I can see myself having social working as a career for the rest of my life because I like helping people face problems that they can’t face on their own. I love working with children, families, and being able to experience working with others and helping them face obstacles that their facing in their life. One of many reasons I would also enjoy social working as a career would be helping these people overcome obstacles they thought they’d never overcome. While growing up and facing tough situations in life, I always had family and friends there for me which is why I would love to help others and be there for them because it’s a great feeling knowing that you have people there wanting to listen to you and help you through problems.
I want to be able to learn more about the growth and development in children so I can help both the parents and children by making sure that the parents know what needs to be done to ensure that their child will grow up to be a healthy adult and to ensure that their child is not in any harm of any sort and that they are safe and healthy. I think that I enjoy working with little kids, because I find it so interesting and fun to see how quickly they can catch on to things and see how quickly they learn and how amazed they get over the things that older people would find so simple. I also enjoy working with little kids, because I like to play with them in general and I love to hear their laugh and I love to see them happy. To me, seeing children happy and healthy is honestly the most happiest feeling I could ever have, and that is why I care so deeply about their health and brain development. This is why I chose brain and behavioral development in children.
The career that I am most interested in studying is child and family social work. The role that many social workers have is being able to help vulnerable children that are in difficult situations while providing aid to families. Growing up in a difficult living situation motivates me to want to help these children and families as much as possible and to relieve their pain.
I would love to be able to list concrete reasons for why I chose social work as a profession, but it feels more existential than that. It is a profession that begins in the core of who a person is, or who they aspire to be. Social work is one of those professions that, at some point in your life, chooses you.
People often ask me, why do you enjoy working with kids? The best answer I can think of is simple. I love working with kids because it's challenging. The challenge is twofold, kids are in constant need of justification, and kids push you to think creatively.
My interest in social work dates back to my years at Glenville State College, where I did really well in all my social work classes. I am eager to learn more and want to pursue a career in social work. I am highly motivated to work with children and families. My interest are reading, listening to all kinds of music, and learning about new things.
The concentration/specialization I intend on focusing on is the direct practice of children/youth and families. Since I was 14 years old all my jobs consist of working with children/youth; from being a summer day camp leader to an adolescent treatment worker. Out of the several job positions I had I was able encounter a lot of children and their families. I grew accustom to helping others and advocating for children/youth rights. Before I was ready to pursue my undergrad education, I knew exactly what I wanted to do and that was to help children and families that are in need like my family was. As a Social Worker I want to be able to assist families with becoming stable in the communities they live in.
How the career I selected would support my Social Interest is by providing social services and assistance to improve the well being of children, their families, single parents, and troubled teens.
