We can honor and remember the victims of the Holocaust through literature.
Literature can reveal insight about the Holocaust and provide the reader with knowledge and allows them to better understand what happened during that time period. Literature enables us to learn about the Holocaust, make sure we do not forget what happened, and honor and remember the victims.

Literature written about the Holocaust can provide the reader with insight and knowledge, looking into this tragic time period. Anne Frank, a girl who was in hiding during the Holocaust, kept a diary in which she explained what was going on around her and described her emotions. She wrote, “The rest of our family, however, felt the full impact of Hitler’s anti-Jewish laws, so life was filled with anxiety.” Anne gives the reader an insight about how she felt, being a child who was in …show more content…

In a story written by a 16-year-old girl,” I’ll Go Fetch Her Tomorrow,” the narrator shares her personal experience as a survivor of the Holocaust. She describes her life experience and explains what was going on around her from her point of view. Since she was Jewish she, along with many other children, did not have much say in whether they were going in hiding or not. She was only 16 and was deported alone. She managed to escape and had to go from hiding place to hiding place to keep out of the Nazi’s harsh deportation or even worst avoid being sent to a concentration camp. Although she gets arrested and was sent to prison, she managed to survive the Holocaust. The narrator explains, ” I wrote to say that I’d survived Auschwitz and was coming home. I got there a few weeks later.” This shows that although this girl had been through so much, she was eventually realized and wrote about her story, which can help us honor and remember her and all the other victims of the
