I believe in love and loving without limits. When I love, I love wholeheartedly and without any restrictions. I believe that attempting to limit your love, blocks the blessings that love has in store for you. Love being the most powerful emotion, has the power to change someone’s life and even the world. By growing up in a tight knit community, I was fortunate enough to have been shown unconditional love by my family, friends and teachers. I am loved because I am a cousin, a friend, a brother and a son. I am loved despite my wrongdoings. I am loved unconditionally.
I was shown love through various different ways. By having a curfew, the gifts I received for my birthdays and Christmas, the whippings I got for misbehaving in school, etcetera. This form of tough love has set the foundation for me to grow up and become a respectful young man and has instilled values in me that are essential to my upbringing. Values such as respecting my elders, taking my education seriously and treating others the way I want to be treated.
I was taught the benefits of love, loving what you are doing and loving who you are. The unconditional love that I received is the type of love I want to put out in the world. Love has the ability to alter others and your own outlook on life, therefore it is an emotion that requires great care. When you are able to fully love yourself, your perception of yourself changes. Your newfound love for yourself allows you to share an honest love with the people
The love of affection is a term that I feel I have had in my life and was easily portrayed as a need. My parents are the people in who brought me into this world. They have shown me their ways of becoming a person- by me making my own decisions, and most importantly having a walk with Christ. They may have been a pain to me through discipline, but they always have shown me their love through affection.
For many, love is a constant search for happiness that never ends. The desire for love is longed for and pursued by every human. Many constantly seek it in self satisfaction, but are never fully satisfied with the love which they attain. The biggest reason for this is the distortion of the love which is sought for. True love is pure and selfless, the perfection of a person. It is truly something which must be cultivated in order to recognize and attain it. Love is a gift so sacred that it is worth living and dying for. “Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not
The journey that Richard and Mildred Loving took is important for history and for the future of civil rights in the United States. I recently watched the documentary The Loving Story and enjoyed the footage, pictures, and interviews of everyone involved in the Loving v. Virginia case. The documentary addressed the issue of interracial marriage in Virginia in 1967.
In the book Yellow Star, a young girl named Syvia hid with her family in a Lodz ghetto because of the slaughter of other children except for twelve of them. However, Syvia is able to endure this event because of the love from her family. For example, Syvia was able to sneak out of her attic and eat a pear, but also grabs a second pear for her little sister because she knows how rare a pear is during that time period. (Doc B) Another example of love being shown would be from “An interrupted Life and Letters from Westerbork,” where a young woman expressed her love to others by sending letters to “Father Han” and her dear friend Maria. (Doc E)
Love is in the air, and love should be everywhere. We may sometimes express it in the funniest ways. In the book Yellow Star, a little girl named Syvia is imprisoned in Lodz with her family. She survived because the sacrifices her family made (Doc. B). For example, “mother does not eat her meal… she gives it to me” (Doc. A); her mother was loving and caring. Syvia’s mom gave her food, even though there wasn’t much left.
God shows love in the greatest ways. There are so many passages, especially in the book of John that prove what a loving God we have. He sacrificed his only son for us and if that doesn't prove his amount of love then I'm not sure what could. Everyday this attribute of God shines through anybody who believes in him. There are ways love is working in your life right now and you don't even realize it. Romans 13:10- "love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law." Going about your day with love will never steer you wrong. Even if you feel like you just cannot be loving today, try your hardest to have an attitude of love and it will change your perspective for sure. It can drastically change your personal views as a believer, the way you can apply this attribute, and how the attribute of love can draw in non-believers.
In the world of psychology, there is a behavioral theory called “nature vs. nurture.” This theory suggests that all children are naturally good, that they are born with a blank slate, and they need mothering in order to become “human.” I believe there are certain things that someone needs to qualify as human. I think all infants are born naturally good, but it’s up to their guardians whether the infant turns out to be a good character. It is also up to you whether you want to be a good person with good values.
Love is a key ingredient of a moral life.Choices based on love of self and others are to be encourage and labeled good.Love promotes acceptable and a peaceful relationship between individuals, as well as groups and nations.
In addition to having a sense of attachment, love can change someone’s outlook toward their family, giving a heartening feeling. Expressing love towards someone is a great impact on a person’s family. The feeling of love Mama described toward Maggie saying, “When I looked at her like
*** Children cannot feel loveable if the targeted person/parent is seen to have surrendered her/him and does not love her/him. The unavoidable result is that they "will look for love in all the wrong places throughout their lives.
Most of the time love is mentioned as a mushy thing, that only soft people have, but as Morrie has said, “[We need] to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in….We think we don’t deserve love, we think if we let it in we’ll become too soft. [But] love is the only rational act.’” (16). Love is an important thing in people’s lives, and if people don’t have love, there’s nothing. All there is hate and anger. When it comes to love, it will only come naturally, after everyone learns how to give it and let it in. The world will be a better place and a more accepting place when people just learn about
Love has many different meanings to different people. For a child, love is what he or she feels for his mommy and daddy. To teenage boy, love is what he should feel for his girlfriend of the moment, only because she says she loves him. But as we get older and "wiser," love becomes more and more confusing. Along with poets and philosophers, people have been trying to answer that age-old question for centuries: What is love?
Love is difficult to define, difficult to measure, and difficult to understand. Love is what great writers write about, great singers sing about, and great philosophers ponder. Love is a powerful emotion, for which there is no wrong definition, for it suits each and every person differently. Whether love is between family, friends, or lovers, it is an overwhelming emotion that can be experienced in many different ways.
Love is a powerful feeling; it makes you do crazy thing. Many people spend years trying to find it, others give up thinking they’ll never find it. Love has been defined as an intensive feeling of a deep romantic or sexual attachment to someone. Of course, Love doesn 't have to romantic and/or sexual. People who are ace, as in asexual, aromantic and agender, can still be in relationships that are satisfying for them without the needs of a romantic relationship. Familial love is also non-romantic-sexual. However, in this paper, we will be talking about romantic-sexual love, what it is, and why I believe it’s so important to understand and experience.
“Only the dead have seen the end of war.”- Plato. Plato was a philosopher in Classical Greece and the founder of the Academy in Athens, the first institution of higher learning in the Western world. War is nothing new, throughout history we have experienced over hundreds of wars with more in the future. For every war requires soldiers to fight for what they believe in. In most cases the soldiers are on a mission to fight the enemy for their country. Fighting is common between individuals because conflict is inevitable. It can try to be avoided, but as a nation, we can never eliminate it.The way to manage conflict and reduce the damage is less hate and more love. The overall goal of the soldiers is to fight for the interest of the country which is not peace but power. The power is sent to bring peace, once everyone is continent peace will appear. Conflict exists because there is always someone to fight, whether that be in gang or drug wars, or more importantly with politics and war between nations. There will always be a fight to win what someone wants, which can flare war.
