The Battle of Little Bighorn took place in 1876 along the Little Big Horn River in south central Montana. Warriors of the Lakota Sioux, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes battled the seventh Regiment of the U.S. Cavalry led by General George Armstrong Custer. The battle has come to symbolize the clash of two vastly different civilizations including a hunting culture of the northern plains and a highly sophisticated, industrial-based culture of the U.S. This battle was not an isolated soldier-warrior confrontation but rather a highly strategic campaign. It was a lengthy, disjointed struggle between the U.S. Army and the allied tribes of the Teton Sioux and Northern Cheyenne Indians that occurred in the span of fifteen months between, March 1876 and May 18771. Hostilities between the U.S. Government and the Native American Indian tribes grew due to the movement of settlers on the land promised to them. The Battle of Little Bighorn in 1876 was perhaps the greatest victory for the Native Americans against the white European settlers. The Battle of Little Bighorn is also known as Custer's Last Stand and it was a fight between the Lakota, Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes against the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army. The Native Americans were led by "Crazy Horse" and "Sitting Bull," while the 7th Cavalry Regiment was led by General George Armstrong Custer. Custer's orders were to locate the Sioux camp in the Big Horn Mountains in Montana and wait for back up to arrive and help.

The main objective of this paper is to compare and contrast the leaders, precisely senators, who have lead in the State of Texas, United States. The Senators are believed to have made key achievements during their career in politics. The paper will particularly focus on Senator Kay Hutchison, Texas senator in the period 1993 through 2013, and Senator Ralph Yarborough, Texas Senator 1957 to 1972. Baylor has always had a place in my heart, even before I visited the campus. I would wear Baylor shirts each day to class and even cheer for the Baylor football team. Many people were astonished that I would want to apply to a university that was eighteen hours away. I have always wanted to find a university that honored the Christian faith. Finding a university in North Carolina just like Baylor's similarities is uncommon. North Carolina is known for top universities including Duke University, Wake Forest University, and the University of North Carolina; but none of those seem to have what I wanted. I thought Baylor was not going to have this Christian atmosphere that I was looking for, I was flabbergasted. I heard from many different people, that Baylor is probably one of the best Christian universities that exist today.

The Battle of the Little Bighorn, also known as “Cluster’s Last Stand,” which was fought on June 25, 1976 in Montana, U.S. The outcome was indulged for the Lakota Sioux and Cheyenne tribes, who presumably will defeat the U.S Army under Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer and its 7th Calvary. This trounce defeat by the tribes, will consider Indians bloodthirsty by the demise of their enemy. The Indians overwhelmed the 200 men by a cluster of 3,000 men. This insisted the battle was lost by the west, and will always be known as “Cluster’s Last Sand.” A battle that only lasted shortly, and took part of the “Great Sioux War of 1876,” will consider Indians unpredictable in the battle field.

Selecting a university is an important thing to do during and after high school, so this is a step to a whole new life. After this you’ll go on a journey into learning new things and discovering new ways to simple things life and also meet new people.
