My sisters must of thought I was exotic or out of this world, I mean, they named me after a dinosaur. Yup you read that right a dinosaur, A dinosaur from a cartoon! I mean they could've stuck with one of the original spellings for my name. But I mean why do that. I always have to deal with the struggle of people going ummmm is it “cera”, “sierra”, or even something that doesn't look even close to my name. My name has a special meaning, “lady, princess, noblewomen”, I mean let’s be real here that makes sense, nah I’m just playing. My name originated from Hebrew, my initials are CFS, and my middle name is Faith. Let’s talk about some more interesting facts and information, some goals I have are being the best I can, getting back to …show more content…
If I ever get the opportunity to play soccer I will take it. I play soccer for FOSC, and I play for U15 which is a grade up for me. I am a center defender, and I always wear my defender headband whether it’s practice or a game. Most people call soccer “easy” but personally sometimes soccer can be a struggle. Like when you’re out of breath but you know you gotta push yourself, you have to be able to control the ball while looking in front of you. Soccer is a thrilling sport to play, I love playing soccer. Something to be proud of in soccer is getting to start, especially on a team of 18! I remember almost scoring on this really nice cross I had I felt the …show more content…
Or visit your future? I would have to think there’s the fact that I already lived the past and not the future. But there might be something in the past you want to relive. I would eventually end up answering the question with, I would like to visit my future. I want to see where I end up, If I’m stilling playing soccer, if I’m married, if I have kids. I want to see if my future takes a turn to where I’m failing at life, so I know now to change it. Will I marry someone I know, but have a hate, passion towards them now? Will I have any kids, and if I do will they be named the names I like as of right now? Will I be rich, famous, happy, poor, or miserable. That’s the kind of stuff I want to go to the future for. Will I end up being tall? Will I still be short? Will my hair be long or short? I don't know any of these answers, so that’s why I would pick the future, the past I basically already remember most of it. The future also will have new inventions that I want to see. I mean will flying cars finally be a thing. I would choose the future to find out and see these
A person’s name is their most important characteristic and is often comprised of hidden significance and centurial “hand-me-downs”. When I was assigned to research my name, I had never thought of the importance of the name my parents had given me. As a child, I always found it annoying when my peers turned to snicker at me each time our church’s music minister asked for the congregation to stand and sing “Amazing Grace.” Each time I heard the song “Mary Had a Little Lamb”, there was always someone near to ask, “Hey, where is your lamb?” After conducting research, though, I began to find little things that made me more appreciative of my name.
What would happen if somebody were suddenly given the power to travel through time? To be able to see where their live is headed and know if everything is going to turn out well? Or maybe first they would revisit the past, and relive a favorite memory? Despite the fact that plenty of science-fiction films have shown us how dangerous playing with time travel could be, it's hard to imagine being given such an incredible power without using it to satiate at least a little bit of curiosity.
There I was, sitting in my dad’s sleek green Mazda heading to my very first soccer game. Four years old, prepared yet anxious, I couldn’t believe this was going to happen after two weeks of practice, meeting my teammates, and having fun. I wasn’t too sure what to expect from the other team. I was somewhat afraid that they’d be too big for me to compete with. I thought that it was somewhat funny that I had chosen to be a defender even though I was one of the smallest of my team. There was no time for those thoughts now, it was a nice sunny day and I was ready to prove that I was an important piece to the team and that I was definitely needed.
I first began my football experience at the age of six playing city league flag football. I’ve come a long way since then and the sport has greatly helped mold me into the person I am today. It’s taught me to keep pushing through adversity and showed me the utmost importance of communication and teamwork. Through football, I have learned that I am a dedicated, passionate individual with an above average work ethic and a vigorous motor. This sport has affected my life greatly and I love it because of that. This is why I hope to find a perfect academic, athletic, and social fit to continue playing football at the collegiate
If I had a ticket to go anywhere I would want to go to the future. To see if my plans of me becoming a physicians assistant actually worked out, Also to see what the world around me would be like in twenty or thirty years from now.
Soccer is a big part of my life and future. I have been playing for nine years and hope to continue threw out my life. I would like to one day successfully become a professional soccer player or coach a varsity team. I like to live by the motto, “ If you believe, you can achieve”. As in if I continue to believe in myself then great things can happen.
Three summers ago when I signed up for soccer my first time I was ready and excited. When I whent to practice I felt like one of the best players on the team. Well actually I felt like I was the second best on my team but I wasn’t. During practice I liked to score goals or at least try to.The reason of that was because my mom said she would give me five dollars for every goal I scored. The problem was I never practiced dribbling the ball.
My name (Jessica) can be traced back from an American origin, which means rich, or God beholds. On other hand, my middle name (Magdalena) is taken from the Biblical character, that being Mary Magdalene from the Sea of Galilee. Growing up, I had several moments
I am also proud of the fact that through this game, I have shaped into a committed, responsible girl, whether it is on or off the field. I’ve learned to take the qualities I need and learned on the field, and use them in my everyday life, for not only my benefit, but the benefit of others. Soccer, beside school, has been the biggest teacher in my life, and that is the beauty of the game, that when one grows a passion for it, you can see a deeper and more
For me soccer is like the best thing that I can do in the world, when I’m in the soccer field playing I forget everything, I forget my problems and worries. When I have the ball on my feet I feel an anxiety to run and keep running until I score a goal. Scoring a goal makes me really happy I feel the happiness running through all my body and I just want to keep scoring to feel that happiness again. Seeing the faces of joy from the people It gives me motivation to make a good game. When I run with the ball my mind is in blank I don’t know anything I just focus in doing magic with the ball. Is like my mind is in another place where is only me and the ball nobody else. Having the ball on my feet makes me another person, I do things that I would
Names mean a lot. They give a means for others to identify us and may have a rich history that provides clues to a person’s ancestry. Some parents name their children after a family member, historical figure, or for other important reasons. Sadly, my name wasn’t chosen for any of those reasons. My parents found it in a baby name book and decided they liked it.
From a young age of eight, I fell in love with the game of soccer and I’ve been passionate about the game ever since. I deemed that the game was confined within the out of bounce lines. Within those lines I learned plenty such as the importance of teamwork, how rewarding hard work can be, and how vital training is for success. Elements all important to the player I’ve become.
On a cold afternoon during Christmas break, I asked my mom, who at the time was making delicious enchiladas for our family, about my name. She responded, “Before you were born, we had already decided on the name Christian because it could be used to name a boy or a girl” and this response had me in shock. I then asked her about my middle name and she responded, “Your middle name? Well, when we were looking for a house, our realtor was called Adair and I loved the name so that is the reason why I named you Adair.” I asked her about my last name, but she did not know what it meant either, so I asked my dad. When I asked my dad about my last name he responded that it derived from Spain. When I asked for more information regarding the name he said, “what else, when you were born, I just gave you my last name, nothing
I started playing soccer when I was five years old. My position was goalie for the majority of my soccer career. As a goalie, you had to dive to get the ball when it was being shot in the right or left corner. I always looked forward to someone shooting there; I enjoyed having to dive for the ball. I loved soccer but it put a strain on my body being out in the heat for sometime up to seven hours a day when we were playing in tournaments. With the heat taking a toll on my body, I began to look into other sports.
It all started, on February 4th, 2003 when my parents decided that my name was going to be be, Noah. I always wondered, why my parents named me this when they had such a wide variety of names to choose from. When I asked them, I received two completely different answers. First, I asked my mother and her response was that she and my father were looking for a biblical name, and they just thought Noah was such a suitable name for their soon to be son. On the other hand, I asked my father and he described how my mom wouldn't let him name me Elvis which is now my dog's name. I prefer my mother’s choice of words, but I could imagine my mom saying the words my father expressed.
