Amber, I was also excited as I love romance novels, and as you said its like a love triangle. Reading your post I liked how you said Ichabod is so obsessed with the supernatural he cant even trust his own imagination. However, I got the impression that the supernatural was ichabods imagination that is what lead to the happening with the headless horseman. I think everyone in the valley has an obsession with supernatural but Ichabods imagination lingers with the supernatural causing Ichabod to be delusional.
This book was very interesting. The book had a lot of drama and I really enjoyed it. Although, the book ended on a cliffhanger, I still really liked it. There was conflict throughout the book with Ethan and his family. His family thought that things would go back
I also enjoyed that they emphasized that Owen was the reason why Johnny believed in God. Faith took a major role in the book, and this theme was also included in the
This novel is honestly great. It’s worth the read and I think that the author had an amazing story line. Ponyboy and Johnny are heroes. Just because you come from
I really enjoy how the story starts. The setting is well described and detailed. I don’t like Lord Henry at all. What kind of person he is, his marriage is a farce and doesn’t try to hide it. It seems he is just married because of how society required a man to. It’s as if he doesn’t even care about his wife.
This was another novel that I had been wanting to read for a long time, and I was glad to have an excuse to buy and read it.
I really liked Drama. In fact, I rate a 10 on a scale from one to ten. I liked the plot, the characters, and has all the ingredients for a great book. I especially loved the ending. The cliffhanger was when Bonnie ran off stage they didn’t have a female lead, so Justin played Bonnie’s
The plot is great, it has a lot of action, and suspense. I also like the way Hinton describes the characters in detail, and makes you feel like you can actually see the character when she describes them. I would definitely recommend the teachers to keep teaching it because the novel has a good moral to it. It teaches you to not judge anyone immediately, how violence only makes things worse, and how to solve your problems. My favorite character is Johnny because he reminds me of myself. He sacrificed his life to save the children trapped in the church, and he stood up for Ponyboy and himself when he stabbed Bob. The symbols and allusions in the book are meaningful like when Johnny tells Ponyboy to stay gold right before he dies. It’s a reference to Robert Frost’s Nothing Gold Can
Ah, overall this book is great for readers who love intense fantasy, the book welcoming you just as much as they welcome the kids in Croak. It doesn't keep you exhausted on the edge every chapter, but it keeps you craving more. Something you need to know about this book is that it's hardcore fantasy, and you'll love it so much you'll want to be trapped
This book is already super intense! I am reading the part of the book where Ricky and Jacob go to Grandpa Portman’s house to see if he is okay, but find him dead, and Jacob sees a creepy
I didn't think anyone would like that last chapter, but I guess I was proved wrong. I'll continue to write more strange plots, every so often. A big 'Thank You' to all of my followers, favoriters, and reviewers;) This chapter was very fun and entertaining to write. Enjoy!
The characters bring a riveting story to life when reading. Throughout the book, I felt emotions left and right for the characters and what they were going through. There is a lot of mystery and questioning that will be answered later in the book, but once its done, there are still many questions being asked. when I look for a book, that is something that stands out to me because I really want to read more, and when you have that reaction to a book, that means it was worth reading. I found this book remarkable because of the behaviors, characteristics, and decisions that the characters make, and I recommend this book to everyone, even if they don’t like to
The book made me feel really engrossed until the very end. I was starting to get bored with Caleb being the new protagonist. I loved when Adam was the protagonist and he was against
The characters in this story are absolutely perfect, not only for the tone of the book, but the overall themes as well. Autumn has got to be one of the best friends anyone could have. She's fiercely protective of Callie and will go to the ends of the Earth for her. Her characterization perfectly complements Vic's, especially since they are basically the two main characters of the story. It might be about what is happening to Callie and Vic, but Autumn is the one there for it all. I also have to applaud York on the parallels between Autumn/Callie and Vic/Brett friendships. He would do anything for Brett, just as Autumn would for Callie. But whereas Callie will do the same for Autumn no matter what, whereas Brett is a nightmare.York's characters make this book, no doubt about it. I adored Vic and felt for him from beginning to end. I've never read a book like this, not from the point of view of the victim or someone close to them, but from the point of view of the person wrongly accused. It's unique. It's especially hard when that someone is Vic, so nice and truly good, but quiet and shy, a little unsociable, unable to stand up for himself. It's powerful. Added to Vic is Autumn, who is all sorts of awesome. As Callie, the rape victim's, best friend, she's ready and able to kick ass but is also willing to take a step back and see
Yes, there are some looming problems and definitely stuff to hook you in, there isn’t the thriller aspect until Tess arrives in D.C. From there it’s a nonstop thrill ride. The whole mysterious scandal left to solve was a little complex but oh so exciting. There were lots of little layers to peel back and I admittedly was worried this story would focus too much on Tessa playing with the big dogs and figuring it all out herself, like she was some sort of prodigy. Sometimes believability is a huge issue for me in these type of novels. But that was not the case here at all. She was a huge part of the investigating, doing a lot of figuring things out and taking big risks, but her friends were also very involved, as was her sister. If that wasn’t exciting enough, there were extra pieces of Tessa’s life that were like a puzzle to solve. SO MANY surprises were thrown at me and I did not guess them all in the slightest. It kept the story exciting and the entertainment flowing! I can't wait to see where this goes with the
I thought that this was an exciting book because there was lots of spots where Jimmy and Seth had got mixed up in some situations. These situations were not what the kind that you would want to be in. One specific time was when Jimmy and Seth were playing baseball at their field. Then a high school student showed up to play and took them to his secret place. There he made Seth give in to temptation
