The issue of AI is also being discussed in the UN the G-7 and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. (Source 7). Assault style or automatic weapons have been a common denominator in almost all fatal mass shootings. It is unnecessary for civilians to purchase automatic weapons for non-military use. If there was a ban on the purchasing of militarized weapons by civilians, it would decrease the number of fatal mass shootings drastically.
