Dress Code
Why dress code is important to us
In Marble Falls Middle School many people don’t like the dress code so these are why dress code is important to us. Dress codes are written and, more often, unwritten rules with regard to clothing. Clothing, like other aspects of human physical appearance, has a social significance, with different rules and expectations applying depending on circumstance and occasion. Within a single day, an individual may need to navigate between two or more dress codes. For example, many navigate between a home dress code and a work dress code; usually this ability is a result of cultural acclimatization.Different societies and cultures will have different dress norms, although Western styles are widely

leaders should have guidelines for the students as to what is and what is not appropriate clothing
The prominent reason behind the various overdone school rules regarding dress is the loose power that administrators have been given. They have been “reserve[d] the right to determine if a clothing item or accessory is appropriate for school” (Carroll High School Student Handbook 2010-2011 18). The officials at school are using their own personal opinions to judge the students’ dress. Since styles change as time goes on, the generation in control and the
Today’s fashion trends, such as leggings, yoga pants, shorter skirts, booty shorts, form-fitting shirts, and spaghetti straps, have sparked controversy in schools. They have been banned from a great many. In my school, leggings, shorts, skirts, yoga pants, tank tops and off-the-shoulder tops were banned for girls. This
Dress codes have some kind of restriction on every single item of clothing, among other things, a girl can put on. Shorts and skirts have to be a certain length—normally mid-thigh or knee length. Tops are required to have a certain size strap or sleeve, and bra straps are not allowed to be seen (God forbid a teenage girl wear a bra to school and her strap is visible). No shirts that reveal midriffs are allowed either. Sometimes the amount of how much a girl’s back is showing is restricted, too. Leggings and yoga pants cannot be worn unless the shirt is long enough where the girl’s fingers touch the shirt fabric, and in some schools they are banned completely. One has to control the amount of cleavage visible, which can prove very difficult for any girl, especially those that
Dress codes are becoming more and more popular throughout the United States; however, this does not mean all administrators agree with them. In fact, there are educators
The N.E.I.S.D. dress code does allow the decora fashion in many schools and most of the decora shirts / dresses and other clothing is permitted and most of the decora clothing is not too big or small on the parsan wearing it this is important because it can make the clothing too unsafe or inappropriate for the dress code to allow it in school also it is vare unlikely
The author penned, “there’s also the disruption and humiliation that enforcing the attire rules can pose during school. Frequently, students are openly called out in the middle of class, told to leave and change, and sometimes, to go home and find a more appropriate outfit. In some instances, girls must wear brightly colored shirts that can exacerbate the embarrassment, emblazoned with words like, ‘Dress Code Violator’,”(Zhou).
Currently, the student dress code in the 2015-2016 Payette High School (PHS) Handbook is completely vague. It mentions in depth dressing issues regarding hats and graphics on clothing. Now the exact wording regarding how much the body needs to be covered is, “Dress shall not disrupt or distract from the educational process.” As I discussed this issue with students that currently attended PHS, I noticed a correspondence among different stories. Due to the fact that there is not a specific dress code, different teachers have diverse interpretations of what disturbs the educational process. Another aspect of the dress policy includes, “Violations of dress code may result in removal from school until dress is appropriate.” Students, particularly female students, express
Dress code is a controversial subject in a lot of schools. Dress code is a set of rules put into place to promote school safety and encourage a positive learning atmosphere where students are not distracted by their peers’ outfit choices (Daniels). This set of rules allegedly is put into place to stop the sexualizing of women by keeping them from wearing “suggestive clothing,” but what is suggestive clothing? Who defines what clothes are seen as “suggestive?” Dress code does more harm than good for students, therefore it should not be present in public schools.
Are those shorts too short? Is that an off the shoulder top? Are those open toed shoes? Students face foolish problems like these on the daily. School dress codes have been around for ages without much change.
We form first impressions and overall judgments about people by the way one dresses. In the workplace, depending on what industry or company it is, employee dress code can differ based on the situation. Those who work at a banking institution are generally required to dress in “suit and tie” or at least business casual. In such workplaces, it is often required to abide by strict policies such as having to cover up tattoos and piercings whilst at the workplace. The dress code is set because the appearance of an employee reflects the company and its values. Thus when dealing with the public, other employees and in all other business relationships, it is important to conduct oneself in a courteous and respectful manner, which also entails dressing appropriately.
Moreover, the unclear details represented in rule four of Dress Code guidelines does clearly inform the reader. In rule four of Dress Code it explains,” Shorts, dresses, and skirts should be an appropriate length; No running shorts” (“Dress Code” 1). Rule four says appropriate length, but what is the length legwear should be? Any reader reviewing this conduct would be uninformed of the appropriate length such clothes should be worn at. One would not know how to appear with unclear details. Thus, when a new student comes to this school, they would have no idea how to dress appropriately, nor should they be expected to follow it.
For example men worker rules include, no beard, and dress shirts with coordinated ties. Female employee rules includes the skirt length (must not be shorter than two inches above the knew), and also stockings.
Wow, that was a lot of rules for dress code and to be prepared for school. Anything that says prohibited in the dress code by the school. You can and should not wear to school, unless you want to meet with the principals in the office. While you are up hear you will be required to rent and wear a school provided shirt, belt, or shoes or be placed in an alternative educational setting until an appropriate change of clothing or shoes can be provided. So make sure to look good and trendy in your new middle school, but make sure to stay out of trouble with the dress
Second of all, some may feel that dress codes are necessary in schools to prepare the teens for jobs and to make
