In the article In Pursuit of Unhappiness is declaring that you can have everything to be happy. My opinion on this is, I think that you don’t have to be happy to live a productive life. You can live a productive life and not be happy.
My reason why i think this is because people can make that have everything in life are not always happy. People have there own way of making their self happy. Some people that are not productive are happy. When you have more things you have more problems. The richest people in the world have so of the most problems, they have problems paying their bills and stuff like that.
I also think if someone has a lot of money they can be happy but that doesn’t mean that they are going to be productive. I think this because when people have a lot of money they think that everything else is just going to give to them. Honestly i think if you don’t have a lot of money you will be productive but that doesn’t mean that you will be happy. For some people the only that can make them happy is money and if they don’t have that then they won’t be happy. For other people they only need friends and family to make them happy. Some of the average mom or dad is happy with their everyday life.

I feel like if you have this you will be happy for the rest of your days. People find happiness in whatever, people have their own way of making themselves happy. You can find happiness in
Happiness belongs to Hedonism. If one experience more happiness during life, his life will be better.
Money and Happiness Why most of rich people are not happy with what they have? Happiness is the feeling which people feel it when they are satisfied with what they have even though these people are poor or rich. Money is the way that people use it to bring things which they can buy it by money. Sharon Begley in her article “Why Money Doesn’t Buy Happiness” states that sometimes there are relationship between money and happiness because people always try to spend less money when they want to buy somethings.
Happiness is a key to everybodys life. Even the most depressed man on earth has a little happiness deep down inside. Its what keeps us striving to fulfil our needs and wants on an everyday basis. There is not one kid who does not get excited over a dollar to spend at the candy shop. What about the feeling of getting a promotion at your job, or even finding the cure for cancer. Being happy is not just healthy, but it is also rewarding for each and every individual. We strive to find anything that will turn a bad day to a good one. Individuals will compromise to attain their happiness. You can not get what you want without giving something first.
Some of the most common themes in contemporary biographical films revolve around social life as well as the accompanying problems that living in today's society entails. By making connections to individual personal lives, these films help most people make sense of the world in which they live. In this regard, this paper focuses on the film, The Pursuit of Happyness outlining various cultural issues as well as problems faced by the starring; Will Smith playing Chris Gardner in the movie. Moreover, the paper discusses how such factual films reflect and create popular ideas about social problems.
I thought that it took having things like a big house, or a really nice car to be happy. But from what I have learned this semester in English, that is no longer the case. From reading the books Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s nest by Ken Kesey, and watching The Pursuit of Happyness if people enjoy what they are doing with their life, they will be happy.
Happiness cannot be reached when it is being searched for, it can only be achieved by focusing on things other than your own happiness.
Everyone wants something and needs it in life to make them happy. In the “The Happiness of Pursuit” article written by Jeffrey Kluger the article is about how people want to find something to make them happy in life. How they spend money on things people don't really need “We buy ourselves an annual $140 billion worth of recreational equipment and $200 billion of electronics.” Then there is the fact in the article where they talk about how many people are happy in america with their lives. In it they said one third of americans said they were happy. “Since 1972, only about one-third of Americans have described themselves as "very happy," “. So in conclusion to all of this they are saying people want to find things to make them happy and fulfill
Bob Marley once said, “Money is a number and numbers never end. If it takes money to be happy, your search for happiness will never end.” We should see money for what it is, a means, and not an end. The Great Gatsby teaches that money is not a sufficient means to happiness, and when you have too much of it, can lead to a sad and empty life. I believe that some wealth is necessary to happiness, but not a exorbitant amount.
"Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has, the more one wants." (Benjamin Franklin). We are never satisfied when we are focused on objects as opposed to fulfillment in life. People are constantly striving for fulfillment, we always want the next big thing, the latest and greatest, life has become a competition for who “seems” the most fulfilled. True fulfillment comes from within. It’s not always material things or luxurious lifestyles that money can buy, it’s more deep than that its pure happiness and satisfaction for attaining your own personal goals and achievements.
Essentially, seeking happiness is necessary in life. We often hope to find happiness from other people, other things around us and forget that we can create it by ourselves. The novel “The happiness project” by Gretchen Rubin is sufficient evidence. The author states, “I am happy – but I’m not as happy as I should be.”(13) Then she started a project within a year to change her life and seek for a happier life. By making a list of things she has to do in the next twelve months, the author have done many things which affects her “Vitality” (1), her “Marriage” (38), her “Leisure” (112), her “Friendship” (141),etc. positively so that she can achieve her goal, which is a life full filed of happiness as she dreamed before. We can also do that. We know that if everyone of us set a goal and live purposely, we are all happy. However, we can be happier if we know how to change ourselves on the right way. We can make ourselves happy by doing simple things in our everyday life.
Whenever a human in society overly attempts to be content they end up with discontent. Also, whenever a human In society decides to attempt happiness they end up not fulfilling their happiness. The article “In Pursuit Of Happiness” by Darrin McMahon shows how society receives contentment genuinely. Also, how society most often either overcomes happiness the incorrect way or would do anything to develop happiness. Darrin McMahon also explains how society attempts so difficulty to be become happy when it is unimportant.
Many believe money to be the root of happiness, however studies show a somewhat different conclusion. Those with money are happier than those in poverty (but only because of the assured security of their health and well- being), but once people begin making up to a certain amount of money, more does not equal increased happiness and decreased negative emotion. “The difference the marginal dollar makes in reducing negative emotions starts to fall off around $70,000, is very low by $160,000 and hits zero around $200,000.”(CNBC). This shows just how little money actually equates to increased elation in the grand scheme of life. In fact, those who think money is the root of happiness are often more unhappy because they will always be disappointed when their happiness levels do not rise with their financial levels. Those with less money, however (not in poverty) learn to appreciate life for what they have, they become more grateful and have less desires that will lead them into that common cycle of dissatisfaction that their richer counterparts may
Jay-Z, an american rapper and businessman, once said “As kids we didn't complain about being poor; we talked about how rich we were going to be and made moves to get the lifestyle we aspired to by any means we could. And as soon as we had a little money, we were eager to show it.” In other words, as children we are demonstrated that having money is the way to be happy. We are taught that once we have a large amount of money we will be happy. As we grow up, we realize that money isn’t really the way to be live a happy life.
When you hear the word happiness, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Do you think of material possessions like designer clothes and accessories, the newest iPhone with the highest possible storage capacity, or a shiny red supercar? Do you think the amount of money you have or your current financial status has an effect on how happy you are? Plenty of college students, myself included, would associate happiness with possessing items like these or just having a lot of money in general. In today’s society, one common belief about social class is that the richer and more money or things that one has, the happier this will make them. This belief is reinforced by countless advertisements we see and hear everywhere, whether that be on
Happiness is something that every person seeks, we all want to be satisfied. Sometimes people can not find happiness in their lives so they seek other ways to get it, they start trying to buy their own happiness. Buying your own happiness may seem good at first, until you can no longer fill the void and you just keep buying more and more. They eventually bury themselves into a hole they can not get out of. What needs to be understood is that no matter how much money you make or can get, you should be satisfied with yourself if you work hard and have a good life because it could easily be taken away.
