Today I got my dandelion seeds ready for planting. I’m a bit nervous because I am not very good with growing plants. They don’t seem to like me much. It’s quite surprising as my star sign is Taurus and they are supposed to be naturally good at growing plants. I must be the exception that proves the rule
I get my pot ready and gently plant the seeds into the soil. It’s a bit fiddly whilst wearing dragon hide gloves but I manage it. I water them straight away. I sit down and look at them. I don’t know what I expect to see. I
out the chart again and she ask them again how long did it take their seeds to sprout
Firstly, for the setup of the experiment, two styrofoam cups were filled with two inches worth of standard, fertilized garden soil, next four seeds from from the garden seed, and the bird seed were placed an inch deep in separate cups. The seeds were blindly labeled, with one being labeled group A and one being labeled group B. This was so as to efficiently conduct a double blind experiment. The seeds were watered with approximately a teaspoon of water per day, and kept in a sunny windowsill. They were left in the windowsill for two weeks, and watered daily.
Add three seeds to the potting mix and cover seeds with little remaining potting mix. After the addition of the potting mix, use a dropper filled with water and water each cell until water drips from the wick. Then place the quads on a watering tray under the fluorescent light bank. Each cell should have an equal distance from the light bank. Quads should be three inches below the fluorescent light; the light should also be left on all day. Make sure all wicks are in contact with the mat that sits on the watering tray. Also watch out for the watering system regularly throughout the experiment. After four to five days record plants in the quads, giving their phenotypes in a table for each cell removed all but the strongest plant.
After finishing the entire lab experiment, I find that those were the only big problems I had. If I were to improve this experiment, though, I would find a good window ledge, buy a tape measure and have a better object to block the experimental seeds from the sun. Other than these factors, I feel this lab went very successfully and that the results were reasonably accurate.

Farther north, pansies bring spring cheer and fragrance over a long period, providing especially perfect underplantings for tulip and other tall spring bulbs (Clausen 10-12). In an article titled “Time to Plant Pansies,” Ruth Rogers Clausen gives out helpful guidelines on how to grow pansies at almost any time of the year. This particular author practices numerous techniques to inform readers a specific way of planting and the greatest method of planting a pansy at different periods of a season.

They sprouted, then opened out in a studied and careful program of increments. Now that was astonishing, all those compressed unfoldings and burstings, but no one said so. No one made a fuss when the seeds actually performed: sprouts, leaves, the long rivery stems, and finally the intricacy of blossoms. I liked to tear the silk of the petals between my fingers, rubbing the pollen into my hands. But that isn’t nice, Reta, my mother said.
tress that I live around. Prior to moving here in Southern Maryland, I was only exposed to tropical plants. An example is Trumpet tree which we planted in our backyard in California. The pods are long, yellow in color and it has a very light fragrance when it is in full bloom. I would help trim it and each year it would grow fuller. After moving here in Maryland, I knew that it will not suitable to plant here since the weather drops to very low temperatures.
Helianthus winteri should be analyze as a prospective rare plant by the California Native Plant Society and the state and federal agencies with jurisdiction over rare species. Winter’s sunflower (Helianthus winteri), a new sunflower species is found on rocky, south facing slopes of the Southern Sierra Nevada foothills between the valley edge and several hundred feet up slope. Most of plants in this species (Helianthus) easily surrender to frost, suggesting frost as a major determinant in the distribution of the species.
Gentianas grow around short grasses on stoney hill sides and mountains. They like a lot of sunlight and most of the time they live in crop fields.

One of the biggest struggles that indoor gardeners face is humidity. Winter tends to be drier than summer, and if a home is heated this can become a
