“In 2016 it is estimated that there will be 1.7 million new cancer cases and 600,000 cancer deaths. That is approximately 4,620 new cases and 1,630 cancer deaths every day. Which means in 2016 every minute that passes 3 new cancer cases will be diagnosed and 1 person will die from cancer.” Cancer is more easily known as the “C” word. A word that can strip children of a mother, can strip a wife of her husband, can strip grandchildren of a grandparent. A six letter word that can take everything. “Cancer is a disease when abnormal cells divide uncontrollably and destroy the body tissue.” “There are over 100 different types of cancer. The drugs are so strong that they disable the bodies immune system. Treatments for cancer is an indescribable experience. Patients who go through treatment for their cancer have no option but to fight for their life. Fighting for their life can include “extreme fatigue, vomiting, pain, nerve problems, loss of hair, sleep problems, urinary problems, memory problems, and more.” Cancer will affect approximately 39.6 percent of women and men in their lifetime.
