According to Army ADP 6-0, mission command is the exercise of authority and direction by the commander, using mission orders to enable disciplined initiative within the commander’s intent, to empower agile and adaptive leaders in the conduct of unified land operations (CAPE, 2012). Effective mission command can generally be analyzed according to the six principles outlined in ADRP 6-0. The six principles of mission command are to: build cohesive teams through mutual trust, create shared understanding, provide a clear commander’s intent, exercise disciplined initiative, use mission orders, and accept prudent risk (CAPE, 2012). This paper provides a brief overview of the
Implementing and designing a comprehensive school-counseling program needs to ensure that they are meeting state standards as well as the ASCA National Model. Assessing the comprehensive school-counseling program allows school counselors consider how well they are meeting the needs of the students, and meeting the requirements of the ASCA National Model and state requirements. School counselors gain the ability to assess the effectiveness of the program and answer the question “How are students different as a result of the school counseling program” (Susan Ireland, M. ED., 2014, slide 1).

Counselor flagged Pt. to meet with him before dosing in order to discuss his current tx counseling noncompliance and to check his recovery status. Counselor briefly met with him to inquire whether he has used drugs, motivation for tx and finding the reason for failing to attend a mandatory one hour counseling session or AMS group. Counselor advised Pt. to attend one mandatory individual session and group in order to avoid being tapering off. Also, Counselor told him that self-initiate participation in the program is the way to get out of the most out of tx and to be successful. There is some of the basic counseling skills that I learned in EDCE 505 that I see applied in this application. One basic counseling skill is finding out some background knowledge about the client during the first session. For instance, the counselor, Dr. Anika Warren, asked the client, Erika, about why she wanted career counseling and about her educational past (2006). Erika spoke about her family’s love of education and how she was looking to change career and more on from a nonprofit job. This will aid the counselor in how she should progress in the sessions and any areas they might need to cover. Another skill Anika used is summarizing and paraphrasing what Erika told her as a way to seek clarity and move on to another part of the discussion.

Continuing off my previous reflection of conflict, my introverted ness and aversion towards conflict I believe also limited my experience with intervention, as nothing specific comes to mind when thinking of powerful experiences of intervention. But, as I grow along with my awareness, so has my experience with facilitation. In regards to relating facilitation, mediation, and intervention, I know there can be debates on definitions and there are difference, but for the most part focuses around the same core standards. Anyways, before answering the question, “As a peacemaker, what do you believe to be your ethical approach around intervention?” I must analyze my conceptions of intervention and its relationship with ethics. The question can sound
These are excellent example for not mandating counseling as a prerequisite for certification. Another point is that there is not enough empirical data to support the client’s benefit from counselors in-training participating in therapy. Great Britain requires to counselors in-training to participate in therapy as part of their certification process. Self-reporting studies confirms the fact that these counselors in-training see a personal benefit. However, we must begin to look past the perceived personal benefits from the counselors and begin taking a scientific approach to capture how this practice benefits the client because there is not enough studies that indicate that this training transcends to the client.
