What is design? A design is a plan or a sketch produced to show the function or the workings of a specific space which are made before constructing or applying the product. (Farlex)
What are the elements and principles of design?
The elements of design
1. Line: A line is a recognizable path created by a point moving in space. Lines are one-dimensional that differ and contrasts in length, width and dimension. Lines every so often describe and outline the edges of a method or a form. A line can be diagonal, horizontal or vertical. (Paul)
2. Shape: A shape is an independent clear area of geometric (ex: circles and squares), creating a positive space using a shape will lead directly to a negative space. (LOVETT)
3. Direction – Lines have a

Color - Color is the light reproduced and replicated off objects. It has three main features: type or its name (red, green, blue, etc.), value (dark or light), and strength (dull or bright). (Elements and Principles of Design)
The principles of design
Balance – Balance is the visual and graphical equality between all the elements of design. It provides and offers stability, steadiness and structure to a design. (LOVETT)
Proximity - Proximity generates and creates the relationship between elements. It provides a principal point. Proximity means that the elements of design should be visually connected and linked in some way. (Paul)
Alignment- Alignment allows the creation of organization and order. Aligning elements allows them to create a visual connection with each other.
REPETITION - Repetition strengthens a design by tying together individual elements. It helps to create association and consistency. Repetition can create rhythm (a feeling of organized movement).
CONTRAST - Contrast is the juxtaposition of opposing elements (opposite colours on the colour wheel, or value light / dark, or direction - horizontal / vertical). Contrast allows us to emphasize or highlight key elements in your
Design is defined by Webster as “to create, fashion, execute, or construct according to plan; to conceive and plan out in the mind; to have as a purpose; to devise for a specific function or end; to conceive or execute a plan; or to draw, lay out, or prepare a design.”
Colors are apart of our everyday lives. They help us on dreaming, creating and increasing youthfulness. The author used colors to illustrate an importance behind objects, emotions, and characters. The various colors symbolize location, character traits and appearances.
As we all know, color is the voice for the artist 's sentiment. It makes up the appearance of a picture. Color is the decisive factor in depths of the two-dimensional plane of the artwork, making the viewer feel physically and mentally attracted, or the context of things - the phenomenon the author wants to present. Colors have been around for a long time, but there is not a common definition for colors. And perhaps humans are one of the luckiest creatures that can identify colors. Often, the recipient 's eye knows a myriad of colors and colors that always change based on the relationship between light and perspective. In art, color creates a sense of
Color fills our world with beauty. We delight in the colors of a magnificent sunset and in the bright red and golden-yellow leaves of autumn. We are charmed by gorgeous flowering plants and the brilliantly colored arch of a rainbow. We also use color in various ways to add pleasure and interest to our lives. For example, many people choose the colors of their clothes carefully and decorate their homes with colors that create beautiful, restful, or exciting effects. By their selection and arrangement of colors, artists try to make their paintings more realistic or expressive.
A line might well be an inbuilt concept. Some categories have been useful to us for so long that they seem to be hardwired in, "parent" or "food" would be examples. There have been people with brain damage so specific that they are unable to understand the concept of an edible plant, suggesting that this, too, is an endowed concept. I would suggest that a line falls into this category. It is so fundamental to understand that moving towards something in a straight line will get you there better than curving towards it, that this category of "straight lines and things close to them" has been of value since the very dawn of the brain and is almost certainly
Probably the most obvious of the three is providing imagery. Imagery is very important in novels as it allows the reader to put themselves into the mind of the author and truly visualize the setting of the story. In this regard, color stands out as one of the most important tools when attempting to help provide imagery. Without color the reader would have to provide much more effort in order to visualize the environment and can sometimes even skew the visuals into something the author did not intend. Adding descriptions of color helps alleviate some of the guesswork and can help the
But in contemporary society, there is no single definition that covers design completely, or even fields of professional practice as graphic or industrial design that adequetly cover the diversity of ideas and practices as once existed. Universal Design in Education Matthew Trotti Grand Canyon University: SPD 500 8/25/15 Abstract Universal Design is all around us, not just in some of the products that we use but also in education. According to one article “Universal design in education is a framework of instruction that aims to be inclusive of different learning preferences and learners” (Black, D. R., Weinberg, L. A., & Brodwin, M. G, 2015). There are so many different approaches that a teacher can use in the classroom involving universal design.
Colors often hold significance and meaning in certain visual contexts. They evoke emotions in the viewer that aid in the overall meaning of an image. The color blue can have multiple
Color is a huge part of how people view different emotions and feelings. For an example, when people see the color black, they may feel darkness and loneliness. Using color as a description in books can really help the reader better understand what the author is trying to get across. Color can mean so much more than shades and tints, it can show true meaning and emotion. Its proven that warm colors generate thoughts of happiness, energy, and optimism.
Colour schemes are used to unify artworks and it consists of three common schemes: warm, cool, and neutral. The warm colour scheme is vivid and energetic and tends to advance in space. It consists of red, orange and yellow. Cool colours give an impression of calm, and create a soothing impression. Blue, green and violet are a part of this colour scheme. Neutral colours give a feeling of calm and quiet atmospheres and it consist of grays, blacks and whites. The monochromatic colour scheme is based on several values of one hue. The analogous colour scheme is made up of hues that are next to each other on the colour wheel. Complementary colours are
'Proximity' is shorthand for Lord Atkin's neighbour principle. It means that there must be legal proximity, i.e. a legal relationship between the parties from which the law will attribute a duty of care.
Strictly speaking, blue is nothing but light that is reflected off the surface of an object and into receivers. These receivers then send electrical impulses to the brain that then interprets the impulses as blue. In that case, what more is color other than the interpretation of electrical signals? Without the stimuli and the receiver, there would be no color. In that case, color is only defined by the measurement of something else. A scientific approach to seeing color reveals a puzzling explanation.
After the proposed system is analyzed and designed, the actual implementation of the system occurs. After implementation, working system is available and it requires timely maintenance.
The Classical theories focus on designing “the one best way”- the universal design. Take in account the well known theory
