I believe in karma. Good and bad things happen to everyone, but some people end up a little more unlucky than others. Karma is the belief that positive and negative actions will be rewarded or punished. The reason I think karma is real is because it has happened to me and i’ve seen it happen to others. The times I see it happen most are when I am driving. Sometimes people build up a lot of anger on the road and start flipping people off and yelling at other drivers. One day when I was driving on the highway, I saw one guy who was truly angry at another driver on the road, and it was noticeably easy to see the two were yelling at each other. I saw one of the driver decide to be a jerk and cut the other one off. After the guy cut him off, he …show more content…
It seems like more often than not when you make a bad decision, something bad always happens to you in return. It’s not everytime, but it’s a majority of the time and that can’t be a coincidence. I just can’t think of a better explanation for something like this other than it must be karma.
Karma has personally affected me. The night before I earned my first speeding ticket my mom told me to drive slow before I left. Being the kid I am, I didn’t listen and decided it was a good idea to drive 88 mph. Going 88 mph would eventually come back to bite me in the butt when I was pulled over by a state trooper on 270. The ticket ended up costing me somewhere around $350. The moral of the story is you should never go against better judgement, as much as a hate to say parents know what they are talking about.
Karma has definitely caused me to act differently. I’ve seen karma happen to more people than it’s happened to me, because I try to make the best decisions possible. Everytime i’m about to make a comment to someone, I always take into account the bad things that could come about from karma. Karma honestly does scare me a little bit because you never know when it is going to happen to you. The most important thing when it comes to karma is you always have to do the right things, and use proper judgement before you make
This tragic moment in my life was very impactful. Not only did it change my brother Jason’s life, but it also changed mine. At a young age I believed that everything happens for a reason. Events, such as arguments with friends, tragedies in life, or just happy moments happen to make
Karma is a belief in which if you do good, the world will reward you, and if you do bad, it will punish you. Just like in physics where every action has a reaction, is how it is in real life. If you commit a good deed, then somehow, someway, the universe will repay you. Bad actions lead to consequences which is what the universe will be in charge of.
It is true in life that everything happens for a reason. It is also true to say that sometimes it is all about being in the right place, at the right time. There was never a more prominent example of this than a traumatic summers evening, only a few years ago.
They can affect us positively and negatively, an example of a positive consequence would be if you worked overtime, your consequence would be you receiving more money, and an example of a negative consequence would be if you played in the snow, without a coat or anything, you’d probably catch a cold. Almost all of us have experienced a consequence, good or bad. In the poem, “The Road Not Taken,” the author or narrator, whomever it is, has to choose between two paths, in which, they had chosen the path that was less travelled by, and their consequence was that because they took the less traveled by path, that has “made all the
Everyone consciously or subconsciously is afraid of death because we don’t really know what happens after we die. Many people wonder if our population is growing how can reincarnation be real. Three lines of evidence demonstrate reincarnation is real. There have been multiple stories where young children have remembered parts of their past life leading to the idea of reincarnation. Doctors have done multiple studies on patients that have had near death experiences (NEDs) and what they experienced. Many of the patients said they saw a bright tunnel or encountered spirits. Plato said you will never sleep as in you will never be dead for good and, you will always end up coming back to life.
Behavior is how one act or responds to a particular situation or a phenomenon and recognizing the functions of the phenomenon. This may cause one to react with impulsive behavior affect one in a way in which they did not expect. For instance, when James lost his stepfather it had a great impact on James’s behavior. James says, “I snatched purses. I shoplifted. I even robbed a petty drug dealer once.” (McBride 6) This effected a change in behavior, James had been heartbroken about his stepfather’s death and is allowing it to change how it reflects his own identity. Have you ever come across an event in your life that damaged your behavior, which shifts your identity? If so, do people see you differently
Most people would say that once you go through certain things, they change you and some would say for the better and some would say for the worst. It all depends on how you look at it and if you want to learn from it or let it haunt you for the
I believe in good karma. Some may say that it's just a coincidence that one gets a sort of reward after doing something good for others, but I am sure it's good karma paying us back for our actions.
Answer: One particular relationship that has deeply affected me is with my sister, Cadie. My parents took her in when I was only two years old and she was my first sibling. Her life when she was young was very rough. She had to deal with the trauma of loss as she was growing up, and that taught me right off the bat how much your words and actions can affect someone. This relationship really taught me how to be compassionate for others and really have that special place in your heart for everyone you really love. This also taught me to set a good example to my younger siblings because they look up to you and you really have to make sure you set a good example.
This had a huge impact on the way I am going to go about my sticky situation like this. For example I am going to try and not assume that the people have already called the cops when there is an accident because if something were to happen, say like a death, I would not want that weight on my shoulders for the rest of my life knowing that I could have done something to stop it and maybe even save that person.
Karma is whatever action you do has consequences whether they are good or bad. Karma is in everyday life whether it be a robber a getting arrested for robbing a bank to for somebody receiving money for helping an old lady with some task. Karma was seen wildly throughout the book The Ramayana in each of the character in the book. In this paper we will examine how karma played a role in each of these characters
In considering karma, there are three main elements; cetana, samudacara, and vasana and samskara. The first element, cetana, refers to the state of mind a person is in when he begins to perform an act. Did he or she have good or bad intentions? This will determine the repercussions that come for that person’s
In Buddhism the law of karma is the moral law of causation - good actions give good results and vice versa. It is the quality of an act, which determines its consequences. But what determines the karmic quality of a deed? In
Whatever you carry out in life, please accomplish it well because one day it will surely come back in another form to you. The law of karma ?what goes around comes around? alternatively, I will say what ever you sow you will surely reap.
“What goes around comes around” is a popular saying worldwide bad deeds never go unpunished. Everything we do or say determine on what’s going to happen to us in the future. Whether we act honestly, dishonestly, help or hurt others. Karma can be divided into good or bad. I believe that if you do something good something good will happen to you. if you do something bad then something bad will happen to you. karma is not something I believe in because of stories told by friends, but because of personal experiences.
