The Golden Goblet, by Eloise Jarvis McGraw, describes a story about a boy named Ranother that lives in ancient Egypt with his wicked half brother, Gebu. Although Ranofer dreamed of being a goldsmith, he couldn’t because Gebu would get annoyed and because of that he would beat him. Everything had changed when Gebu suddenly was getting joyful. Ranofer was super shocked because Gebu fed him more and didn’t beat him. Later in the book, Ranofer found a golden goblet hidden inside of Gebu’s room.

The novel Golden Goblet is a book about a boy living in Ancient Egypt, this boy’s name is Ranofer son of Thutra. He wants to become a goldsmith. He lives with his dishonorable half brother Gebu ,and he is being exposed to his horrible ways. He is being held back though and is barely holding on to hope. The most important event in this book is when Ranofer discovers the Golden Goblet in his brother’s clothes chest because it shows Ranofer and his friends Heqet and The Ancient, what Gebu is doing when he sneaks out at night, helps Ranofer discover how Gebu got unbelievably wealthy very quick, and finally it helps ranofer and his friends, including Heqet, catch Gebu!

In the book called, ‘’The Golden Goblet’’, the author tells about a boy named Ranofer. He lives in ancient Egypt with his half brother and his friend. He is working as a goldsmith, but his brother is limiting him from getting better at it and beating him. In the whole novel, the most important event that happened was when Ranofer went in his brother’s room and found a golden goblet.

The author Eloise Jarvis McGraw wrote a mysterious but entertaining novel called the Golden Goblet. It is about an Egyptian boy named Ranofer that finds a golden goblet that his older step brother Gebu stole. This is why the most important event in the book Golden Goblet is when Ranofer finds the golden goblet and gets him caught so that he does not have to live with his mean brother Gebu, obtains an apprenticeship with the most high scaled goldsmith in Egypt, and also meet the pharaoh’s wife. The first reason that supports that when Ranofer finds the goblet is that he does not have to live with his brother Gebu. Ranofer does not want to live with him because all he ever does is beat him and barely feeds him.

Ranofer is an amazing person who could inspire lots of people to do what’s right even though it may be hard. This novel is a very thrilling story, educational, and entertaining. The most important event in The Golden Goblet was when Ranofer found the golden goblet because it made Ranofer think that it was more than just stealing gold, it scares Ranofer a lot, and he too nervous to tell anyone.

So they figure out it was Gebu and Ranofer gets to work at the goldsmith shop again and lived happily. Sometimes we fail to see that the obstacles in our life help shape the road to our success in the future, and Rowling points out to us that failures and obstacles is what helped us become successful , and to never ignore that.

Rowling explains the benefits of failure by using her own personal failure of living in poverty with her daughter and what that failure taught her. For the significance of imagination, Rowling describes it not in terms of how it helped her out of poverty, but of how it opens up people to the world and other individuals around them.
