J.R.R. Tolkien: Professor John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, the author of The Hobbit and its direct sequel, The Lord of the Ring. Tolkien was strongly influenced by Anglo-Saxon literature, Germanic and Norse mythologies, Finnish mythology, the Bible, and Greek mythology. He was persuaded by C.S Lewis to publish a book that he had written for his own children, The Hobbit in 1937. Tolkien’s influence weighs heavily on the fantasy genre that grew up after the success of Lord of the Rings (published in 1954-55).

“MY- PRE-CIOUS-! GOLLUM! GOLLUM!” xxx Orcs- The pale orc, Azog the Defiler. Azog was a powerful orc who claimed rulership over the abandoned Dwarvish mines of Moria. He became the leader of the Goblins of Moria, initiated the War of the Dwarves and Orc, and began by retrieving the head of King Thrór. This enraged the King’s grandson, Thorin, which he cut off Azog’s left forearm during the battle. Later, he gave his son Bolg the task to hunt down Thorin and his company to take his revenge. Thorin managed to kill Azog with Orcrist in The Battle of Five Armies.
