In my opinion the most infuencia person in my family would have to be my oldest sister and her name would be the beloved Jesena Benitez. She is the type of person many people would consider a true friend and to me it is such a blessing to call her sister. Jesena has always supported me and never left my side even when even when many left me alone, besides her she has been a wonderful row model. It is very hard to be a teen mom at such a young age even when many are a baby still. When someone becomes a teen mom at a very young age and does not have such a good support system or at least someone there to guide them through the transition in becoming a teen parent it can be a real struggle. Jesena was a teen parent at the age of 16, she moved a two hours and a half away from us to live with the father of her child, some people and even family began talking bad about her and even looked at her as if she was ruining her life and she or her child will never have anything and some just stopped speaking to her. She now is working at a bank as a bank teller, and currently has three children and their ages are 10, 7, and 2. She works very day to continue to give her children everything that they want and need and in my opinion she does a wonderful job, as a teen mom myself, it is a big struggle. In some cases, people continue to neglect young teens because they become young parent but to me that doesn’t matter as long as teen parent continue to battle their struggles and continue to put their kids first and give them al they can then that all that matters.
5.) My grandmother, Just help me to the fullest and is providing me with the extras I needed to be who I am today. She has influence me to achieve and Keep going through the hard times. She also has been draining my life for sometime she's too hard And controlling. I can only look at the positives of our relationship And to thank her for what she has done for me.
I value my family so much. They don’t always do what I want them to do, but they always do what I need them to do. I would like to introduce you to some of the most favorite people in my life. First, my mom (Helen) and my dad (Terry). My parents are just so perfect and they have created a wonderful young lady. I wish I was the only child, but, I’m not. I have two siblings, both of my sisters are older than me and married with children. I have a sister on my
I grew up in a Hispanic single parent household. That meant I was a very independent kid growing up. My mom was the person I would go to with any of my problems so she played a very large role in my childhood. I have 2 sisters and 1 brother, so my siblings helped me learn a lot of things as well. I don't think I would be here without them.
A mother of five young kids; who taught me how the importance life of a student. My sister is one of my biggest supporter and a best friend. She encourages me to take risks in my everyday life but most importantly, in education. As I have more honors and AP classes, she always told me, “I just want you to do your best, keep pushing yourself because you are a young intelligent young lady who needs to go to college to better yourself. Out of all our sisters, none of us went to college and you should take a step in leading the family to college.”
Family means the world to me in every aspect, but a person that means even more then that is my sister, Jordan. She paved my life for me without me knowing; she is always there for me and believes in me when I do not believe in myself. Jordan and I very similar in the way that if we had the chance to do everything together we would take every opportunity we could get. How our relationship developed was like every pair of young sisters, we did not get along very well when we were younger because we took the days we had together for granted. The day she left for college is when it really hit me that she was the biggest inspiration in my life. What made us as close was going through our parent’s divorce, it was a life changing experience, and I would have never gotten
Though they were not always there throughout my childhood, they still did a decent job raising me up. This family shaped me to be the person I am today. They guided my way through my teenage years, they prepared me to faced the real world at the young age, and they taught me to be
Selena Quintanilla Pérez was a famous singer, whose life was filled with successful and memorable events. Selena had much success in her career and life. She had a supporting family, who were also in her band. She was loved by many people. Unfortunately, her life ended too soon, she was shot and killed by Yolanda, the president of her fan club. That was a very sad day for many people.
Most every human being has encountered a time in their life when he or she has felt suppressed. However, not every person has stood up against the people and forces that have kept them oppressed. It takes a truly extraordinary person to stand up for their self and to take a stand for the greater good of others. According to Clare Booth Luce: “courage is the ladder on which all the other virtues mount.” The Mexican writer, Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz and the Puerto Rican writer, Julia de Burgos, acknowledged the fact that they were suppressed by the male gender. Sor Juana and Julia de Burgos did not simply stop at acknowledging the problem at hand. Rather, these two
She started her journey of life in the early 1990’s. 90’s chick all the way. Born on August 29th, 1991 at Madera Community Hospital. Viviana came as an early birthday present to her father, his birthday is the day after hers. Pretty cool, right? A student at Fresno City College, Viviana is double-majoring in Mass Communications and Journalism. She is a full-time student. The concept of women's development begun from Sister Juana Inés de la Cruz, who was a Mexican researcher and artist in the late seventeenth century. Her verse and works highlights the gender separation experienced by women some time ago. Thus, she was viewed as the mother figure of women's liberation in the Americas. The same number of women's activists development today depend on her beliefs. The women’s development then begin to start again around the 1920's, not long after World War One. Amid both World Wars, women needed to go up against the part of men as they were working past their customary parts, for example, housework, rather they had modern employments that men typically had. After the wars, women were disillusioned by the desire
Here in Oregon is where the three of us became a family; mom, Jelly a.k.a. Angelica (my sister) and me. Years went by as we assimilated to life here in Oregon. My mother worked hard to give us kids everything we desired and needed, all the while trying desperately not to be her mother. At the time we were all unaware of how alike my mother and grandmother could be.
I am a really lucky person to have such an awesome mom. Her real name is Wendy but I just call her mom. She cares a lot about me and my sisters we are spoiled even when times are tough like now. She says that we are her life and that will never change.
There are many people that have the strongest impact in your lives. They are your role model and you want to be like them. These can be your family members, friends, or people that you just see on T.V. Whoever they might be they impacted your life because of want you learned from them. One person that had the strongest impact that made me who I am today is my mom. My mom had impacted my life and made me who I am today because she taught how to treat other how I want to be treated, don't judge other people because of their looks, and if you don't try you won't succeed. These are only the few lesson that I learned from my mom as a kid.
In life you have many people who influence you. Some aare good influences and some are bad influences. Although, the one person who influenced my life most would have to be my father. My father sacrificed alot in his lifetime to make his children's lives better. I adore my father he is a strong confident man and loves his family unconditionally. I have become the person I am today because of my father.
There is nothing I would not do for my family. My family means everything to me and is the reason I wake up and continue this journey called life. I married my best friend, Michael DeSena. We met when I was beginning my nursing degree and he was working as a tax accountant in public accounting. Today, we are happily married and blessed raising three beautiful children. Our eldest, Valentina is fifteen and a sophomore in high school. Our middle child, Micah is thirteen and an eighth grader in junior high school. Our youngest, Amabel is nine and a third grader in elementary school. They each have their own personality, likes, and challenges to grow into. Every day is different than the next, our youngest Amabel is loved and nurtured by her older siblings and parents. Some days can be more hectic than other days but we always get through each challenge and situation as a growing family unit.
