When Edna arrives at Reisz’s apartment she is very delighted to see Edna. The two friends are sarcastic to each other and show both emotions of love and hate but this openness of emotions seems to make them better friends. Mademoiselle Reisz plays the piano without holding any feeling back and forces Edna to recognize her emotions more. Mademoiselle Reisz gives Edna a letter that Robert sent Edna and by the time Edna leaves it is soaked in Edna’s tears. Mademoiselle Reisz causes Edna to figure out that she is in love with Robert, but Mademoiselle Reisz is not a cupid, Mademoiselle Reisz is only causing Edna to recognize Edna’s own emotions through her music.
