In 1910, The Rev. Joseph Quenouillere succeeded Father Richard, as pastor and served until 1920. Prior to his service at Sacred Heart, he served briefly (1908) at Maurice, Louisiana at St. Alphonse Church. By 1911, the first High Mass was sung in the new church constructed across from the Terrebonne Sugar Company. The church had been built at a cost of $5500. In 1912, in his Parish Report of 1911, Father Quenouillere reported that the cemetery was in poor condition, and the altar was not yet consecrated. He recorded that Benediction with the Blessed Sacrament was offered on Sundays and the first Fridays of the month. Additionally, there were 50 non-Catholics in the parish, and there was one vocation to the Priesthood from the parish. In
