I read the story of Romeo and Juliet and also watched the movies including them in it. I feel like whenever Juliet drank that drink to make her sleep and people thought she was dead that it wasn’t her fault for Romeo killing himself by drinking the poison. That wasn’t Juliet’s fault, someone should have told him that she were asleep instead of really thinking she was dead. Nothing would’ve ever happened if Romeo knew she drank something to make her sleep. Whenever Romeo drank the poison after seeing Juliet laying there she woke up to him killing himself so after he was dead she grabbed his dagger and stabbed herself and she died with him. Friar Lawrence gave Juliet the drink and it wasn’t his fault for doing that because she wanted people thinking
From the very prologue of Romeo and Juliet, we are informed by Shakespeare that these two “star-cross’d lovers” are going to “take their life”. For the rest of the play, we are left to observe how they kill themselves and who or what leads them into doing so. However, placing the blame on one person or event would be impossible, as nobody was directly responsible for their demise. Instead, everything that could possibly have gone wrong did go wrong. Although both Romeo and Juliet end up thinking it was their own decision to kill themselves, there were many other factors that unwittingly forced them into the situation they eventually found themselves.
Beside Lord Capulet and Romeo, Friar Lawrence is also directly responsible for Juliet’s death. He makes not only one, but three major mistakes that all results in death of Juliet. To begin with he gives a potion to Juliet. At this time, Friar Lawrence is the only person that Juliet will fully trust, however, Friar Lawrence shows his irresponsibility by saying, “If…thou hast the strength of will to slay thyself…take thou this vial” (). In this circumstance, Friar’s plan is very risky for unstable Juliet. He decides to take risk rather than thinks for a better plan. Juliet’s fake death does fools all the people, however, Juliet will never lie on the monument if Friar Lawrence does not give Juliet the potion, and Juliet will not die at last. Next mistake that Friar Lawrence makes is he let Friar John to send the letter, who does not know how important the letter is. It is inexcusable to let someone else to do this urgent thing. Friar John shows his incompetence when he says “I could not send it, here it is again” (). The letter is one of the most crucial symbol in the play. To a certain extent, Friar John fails send the letter to Romeo foreshadow the play will have a tragedy ending. If Friar Lawrence delivers the letter by himself, the plan may proceed perfectly. The quotation

“And if thou darest, I’ll give thee remedy.” Here Friar Laurence is telling Juliet that his plan with the remedy so she can leave with Romeo after she wakes up. He also tells her, “Look that thou lie alone: let not thy nurse lie with thee in thy chamber. Take now this vial being in bed.” This is when he tells her what to do with the vial the night before the wedding with Paris. He is responsible because he told her to drink the potion when she could have just run away or kept refusing to marry Paris.
Romeo is to blame for Juliet’s and his own death, because when he was banned from Verona, he could have found someone else in Mantua.
In William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, The ‘star-crossed lovers’ take their own lives in the name of love. Was it their own faults that they killed themselves or someone else's? Friar Lawrence was the most responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet in several ways. He was just out of his mind. He made not only one mistakes, but many mistakes that all caused Romeo and Juliet's death. First of all, he made one major mistake that he could have prevent. He trusted a teenage girl, Juliet. Teenagers aren’t stabilize, and the most scaring thing is that most of them don’t think of the consequences of love. Friar gave her fake-death poison. This is crazy! This decision was a very poor choice on the Friar's behalf. Here, he shows his irresponsibility by saying, "If... thou hast the strength of will
Taking Responsibility for the Deaths of Romeo and Juliet in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet
In Romeo and Juliet Romeo murdered three out of the six people that died in the book. Romeo killed half of the people and caused the other half to die from killing himself and other people. Romeo is the most to blame for all of the deaths in the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.
Life makes you do many crazy things. Some of these things may even result in death. For instance, this occurs in the play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare This is a play where two star-crossed lovers come together. They do any and everything necessary just to live a life together.
“A person who truly loves you will never let you go no matter the situation”. In William Shakespeare's play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, there were a few characters to blame for the tragic deaths of star-crossed lovers. The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is tragedy play written by no other than well-known playwright, William Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet, the two main characters who fall in love, faced many challenges, misunderstanding, and miscommunications which ultimately resulted in their deaths. Tybalt and Lord Capulet were the main characters at fault for the lover's deaths because of their poor decisions.
Deaths are common in a tragedy, but six deaths within two families, which happened over the course of a couple days, is not so common. In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, the characters that died included Mercutio, Tybalt, Paris, Lady Montague, Romeo, and Juliet. Clearly someone is to blame for these deaths. Both families did things to contribute to these deaths, but there were a few things in particular that had a little bit more weight in them. The main causes for the deaths of these characters all had to do Romeo and Juliet’s parents.
For me, Romeo and Juliet´s death has not just one person to blame. There are some people that could have done things differently to avoid the deaths, but that does not necessarily mean these people has the blame for it. Because most of these people were not aware of the damage they were causing with their actions. So if your action cost two people their life, not on purpose, does it really mean you are the one to blame?
A father and daughter’s relationship with each other sometimes isn’t the best, but In William Shakespeare’s famous story Romeo and Juliet Juliet’s relationship with her father is terrible. Many tragic events and deaths occur in the play, but no one knows who to blame for these events. Capulet, Juliet’s father and the head of the Capulet family, is definitely most to blame for the deaths and problems that happened in Romeo and Juliet because of his inconsiderate actions, terrible relationship with his daughter, and irrational decisions. The Capulets and the montages have been feuding for a very long time. This feud causes many deaths, and Juliet’s father made no attempts to end the feud throughout the whole story.
Juliet’s death is her father's fault. Juliet was very young and did not want her father to chose who she will marry. One would think that a father is supposed to want the best for their daughter and that he cares enough to listen to her. But in this case, this did not happen. Juliet did not want to marry Paris, and she told her dad. Instead of calling off the marriage her dad threatened that if she did not wed, he would kick her out onto the streets. Juliet would have never faked her death, if her father would have listened.
