On Friday, September 23, 2016, Justin Pratt was sentenced to 10 years in a federal prison. Plus on top of the time remaining on, his murder sentence, which is expiring in May 2017 after pleading guilty to armed robbery. Pratt and his wife entered a man’s home and stole his medication at gunpoint. Justin Pratt felt horrible and embarrassed by his action and said “I’m sorry for what I’ve done, and want to change things”.

Mark Dean is an African American inventor and electrical engineer. He has helped in many ways to make today's world what it is. Some of these things are helping to develop the ISA bus, leading the design team for making the first one-gigahertz computer processor, and contributed to the creation of IBM’s first personal computer. Jeff Denham is a congressman who represents the 10th district of California in the Stanislaus County, Modesto area. He is one of fifty-three representatives from the state of California, and one of fifteen Republicans in a very Democratically controlled state, making him a minority in the his state legislature as well as in the current congress (California’s 10th Congressional District). His views on the economy, energy, civil rights, homeland security, and gun-control, oppose many other politicians in his state and at the federal level and in the executive branch.

Hardrod Kushner, a popular author and American rabbi, once said, “ I think of life as a good book the further you get into it the more it begins to make sense.” Over the course of a book, through character development and finding the author’s message, the reader begins to understand the values that are present in the book. Different books, such as To Kill a Mockingbird, Romeo and Juliet, and Fahrenheit 451, all have values that can be found in other books, like Ender’s Game. An examination of Ender’s Game, in comparison to other young adult novels, shows the values of courage, empathy, forgiveness, and community through the character development and the messages the authors want to convey to their readers.

Hundreds of students, parents, and faculty members gathered and created an audience to witness J.K Rowling’s speech at Harvard University in 2008. J.K Rowling is a well-known author, famous for her Harry Potter book series, and much more. Rowling’s speech was well thought out, and delivered excellently, with three main points she addresses throughout the speech. The three points being: failure can lead a person to success, never give up hope on your dreams and aspirations, and lastly Rowling emphasizes the importance of imagination. Sometimes we fail to see that the obstacles in our life help shape the road to our success in the future, and Rowling points out to us that failures and obstacles is what helped us become successful , and to never ignore that.

I have chose to tell the story, and achievements of well renown artist Peter Morgan. Peter morgan is 33 years old. He grew up in Abingdon, Va with his parents Ed, and Helen Morgan. Peter graduated from Abingdon high school in 1996. Peter had never taken a ceramics class until his sophomore year in college. His college professor at Roanoke College inspired him during his time taking ceramics to go the length with it. He went on to continue his education at Roanoke College in Salem, Va. He later received his Bachelor of Arts degree from this university. He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the California College of Arts and Crafts in San Francisco, Ca. It has been 20 years since Marc Johnston, my guardian, graduated from college. When he looks back at all the things that he has been through since he moved out of his parents’ house, his life has never been the same. He had to learn and struggle like an infant once again because he never learned how to be independent. However, this time, he doesn’t have his parents to bail him out like he did before.
