The coast holds the second largest city in Kenya, Mombasa. The city is identified by the Mombasa Tusks built in 1952 to commemorate the visit of Queen Elizabeth. Mombasa holds the coastal administration and it is separated from the mainland by two creeks; The Tudor on the west and Kilindani Harbor on the south.
