“I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not.” (Kurt’s Biography)
This quote gives me inspiration in almost all aspects of its very own definition. When I read this quote, I can feel a spark inside of me, a light flickers on and instructs me to stay determined and remain optimistic throughout any obstacle, challenge, or even triumph that occurs in my life. I know I can accomplish anything as long as I set my mind to it. Nothing can stop the power of the limitless human mind. This quote inspires me in the same way that the Sun’s gravity affects Earth. The Sun (quote) has a powerful force of gravity (inspiration), constantly applied to the Earth (me), causing the Earth (me) to stay on track and always drive
The subject of this writing, is on a man who changed music; a man on the level of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison. This individual is Kurt Donald Cobain from the revolutionary grunge/rock band, Nirvana. While some people would never consider Cobain to hold a major role in the shaping of our music and culture today, they haven’t taken the time to look around. Many people overlook the fact that music played a huge role in the lives of Americans during the 90’s. Someday history books will probably
This quote shows that people can be different then they can be, people can ultimately change for the worst.
The quote teaches a valuable lesson too. The lesson it teaches later in life or sooner is that if you just wait, soon it will later happen, you must be patient and later something unremarkable and so valuable you would do outstanding, and once you do that it will or should remain a memory or it should.
This quote has been in inspiration in my life since the beginning of this year. The quote is anonymous but still has a story, a story with my life.
Nirvana is defined as a transcendent state in which there’s neither suffering, desire, or sense of self (dictionary.com). February 20, 1967 was the day grunge music’s king, Kurt Cobain, was born. Aberdeen, Washington was the home of Cobain and sparked the band, Nirvana. Cobain started showing his love for the arts at around the age of five. At nine, his parents divorced and his life began going downhill from there. After the divorce, Kurt went to live with his dad, and his sister stayed with their mom. Cobain’s dad remarried while his son was living with him, and Kurt loathed his step mom. He got in a lot of fights with his dad about it and soon moved back with his mom. Within the time of Kurt’s
What I Think: I really appreciate this quote because of its overall message regarding basic morals of a person. I feel like people who live their life in a way parallel to this quote are the most successful ones, as they are not afraid to suffer in order to achieve their goals.
4.) What is one thing you can take from this quote and apply to your own life? How are you going to apply it to your life?
One of my favourite bands of all time is Nirvana, because this was the first rock band I started listening to at the age of twelve and this established my taste of music until nowadays. However, they had a big influence on their contemporary pop-rock musical industry in the early nineties, as well. Despite the fact that they released only three studio albums in seven years, Nirvana is often regarded as one of the most influential, effective and remarkable rock bands of the century.
Kurt Cobain was a talented yet troubled musician. He was known for his band, Nirvana, as well as being one of the most famous musicians to commit suicide. Nirvana's most well known album, Nevermind, and song, "Smells Like Teen Spirit,"became the definition of grunge when they were released. Yet, while his musical career ended up highly successful, he ultimately took his own life. This was most likely due to personal struggles and drug abuse. Although Kurt Cobain died young, his music inspired and greatly influenced many.
Personality theories attempt to identify the origins of personalty and examine how personality develops. Throughout the history of psychology, different psychologists have offered various personalities, each one contradicting some idea of the other. It is possible to examine personality using multiple parts of different theories, while certain characters may be best described by one theory. Although Kurt Cobain, a complex character, cannot possibly fit into any one personality theory perfectly, parts of his personality can be explained using theories created by Alfred Adler and Carol Rogers.
My quote helps when trying to show people to appreciate people because if we didn't learn
“You don’t change the world with the ideas in your mind, but with the conviction in your heart.”
Personally, after reading this quote, I felt inspired to change how I perceive life. For me, it’s difficult to not think about myself because I am in college credit
