“While I was working with about 10 contractors who worked out of their homes, I also had two employees working out of my house, which violated my county’s regulations as you were only allowed to have one employee. A neighbor reported me to the county and I was given 30 days to move the business. I received an extension for 45 more days, hired five more employees, and then we all moved into our first office space together. That was three offices ago. I look at every challenge as an opportunity to grow and just make it work. Believe me, if I didn’t have that outlook on life, I wouldn’t be in business today!”
Under Martin's leadership, LeapFrog Solutions has been recognized as one of the top U.S. agency brands by Advertising Age and continues to be recognized as one of the top 10 graphic design firms by the Washington Business

Joe emerged his business by perusing his desire to run a business on his own. Together Joe and Larry took the risk and began Bannes-Shaughnessy Inc. in 1972 (Katz, 2011). Despite their prior experience and low amount of capital they began with, within five years they had received their first million dollar contract, proving their existence. From here on out their firm grew, so did their success, and in turn were helping the community. Joe was compassionate and his work and business reflected that. Their families were benefiting from their success as well as their own lives. They were perusing their dreams, and once Joe became the sole owner, he was able to take the business to the next level. It is as if he was beginning the growth stage again within his own company, he could now continue on focusing on the expansion and diversification of his

By conducting a value chain analysis for Walt Disney Company, I will be able to accurately show the “parts of its operations that create value, and those that don’t” (Hitt, Ireland, and Hoskisson, 87). The value chain is segmented into two categories: support functions and value chain activities. Support functions include finance, human resources, and management information systems which “support the work being done to produce, sell, distribute, and service the products [Walt Disney] is creating” (Hitt, Ireland, and Hoskisson, 87). Value chain activities include supply chain management, operations, distribution, marketing, and follow-up services, which Walt Disney

Through out the years Bill learned more then he ever did in school and the best part was that his family and friends join him in this job. "Florida Signs wasn’t exactly were I planned to work but I have to say, its not bad at all. There are very few things I dislike about the place and everyone that works there is either family or a really good friends." Working as Production Manager there are a lot of responsibilities that follow, like if a job isn't done on time its Bills fault. If the buyer doesn’t like the Sign or there is a problem with the sign, its Bills fault. "I don’t look at my job that way, I look at it as if the job is a hobby. I enjoy my job so if I put all my effort in to making a sign and safely placing it, the buyer will have no problem with
Legos are the multi-colored blocks we used as children to build creations that were only limited by our imaginations. I remember adding to my multi-colored plastic sculptor, each block putting me one step closer to the final product. The process would always entail first setting up a strong foundation, and then creating structural support, while always having a plan in the back of my mind. The outcome of which, would tower above me; to think it all began with a single block. In many ways people are similar to Legos. We are the combination of our experiences, each adding to our personas, and shaping how we view the world. Also like Legos, to have a stable and functioning final product it must have a foundation, support and a plan. I was
